It's common a lot of v6engines. Also you're using Platinum tipped plugs which only need to be changed every hundred thousand. Statistically speaking most people are only going to change them once.

I bought plugs to show the kids how easy it was, and opened the engine and couldn't find the plugs. Glad I stopped there.

The good news is that the plugs last a long time. The back three had 190K miles before I replaced, and they were still operational and looked good.

Nice repair. Please recheck the video for the music was terribly low and it's just for you to check if your sound system might be damaged. Good repair though.

I was able to replace the left side one and middle , with just removing the cowl and the pcv elbow on the left side . Hurts your hands , and is a bit tedious , but I doubt as tedious as removing those bracket bolts . The ideal extension length needed is around 31/2 to 4 , and a ratcheting 10mm wrench will save you a ton of time ( didn't have one ) gonna try to remove the right side in a few days when I get a ratcheting 10mm , pretty sure you can reach under the throttle body .

Our Sienna has been a great car but had no idea this much is needed to change the spark plugs and $800 is what the dealer charges. Someday when we replace the car I will make sure the simple parts are easy to replace on the new car.

$800 for six spark plugs, tell them you only want half of the spark plugs changed for $400.00. The back half, LOL

I love Japanese cars and I just bought a 2011 toyota sienna I wanted to put new spark plugs and I found out that my van has only 3 spark plugs 😂😂😂cuz the other are buried I don't know where. I cant believe this ,its so stupid .whoever came up with this idea is in idiot, why do I have to remove all that only to change that crap. I dont see any benefit of hiding it, bull crap I am so sad.

You don't need to replace them because they last 120k miles. I am getting misfire on mines at 189k miles so I will give it outside.

No need to remove the wipers area just get a flex wrench behind de plenum you will need lot's of patience and skinny hands to remove two bolts from the brackets that holds the plenum the rest like any car

Based on some professional mechanics, the connector for throttle body should not be removed. As well as coolant lines to the throttle body. The butterfly of the throttle body should not be moved either.

2006 sienna, are the plugs, coils, wire set have to be original Toyota brand to work.

I owned both Toyota and Honda, by far the Honda odyssey is much easier to change spark plug than Sienna.

Man I am about to take a 11hr trip to start a new job, and my Sienna stalled on me. All the mechanics are busy and can only work after a week. I had changed spark plugs a ton of time over 15yrs ago on my toyotas. So I said let me just do this myself. After checking this video I am extremely disappointed😑

Buy a honda accord or crv, strong engine that would last more than 200thousand miles and easy to change spark plugs as well as filter of engine and transmission also it has timing chain for vtec 2.4 k24 engine.

They hid the plugs on purpose just like the Quest. Diagnosis can often be made by simply swapping the coil-on-plugs, but under Sienna and Quest you have to remove all that. Odyssey makers appreciate more our time and money. You vote with your money. Do your homework before you buy.

They started jacking up the cover when there is 2 more bolts behind it yet they don't show it how they remove it 🤣 so it took them 6 hrs to figure it out

Took me, 10 minutes to figure it out, cause i was wondering why he put his hand back there so i checked and sure enough, there was a bolt back there. my wrist hurts now from working on this car. Another 6hours to put it back together.
