Toyota Sienna Knock Sensor Replacement

I replace the knock sensors and wiring in a 2008 Toyota Sienna. This is response to a P0333 trouble code.

I have been dreading this repair but a few things of my research. 1. Replace the back spark plugs and coil packs with denso brand while you do this, these have a life of 150-200k so if never been done, do it now. 2. Clean the throttle body while apart. 3. Replace the heater hose by the knock sensors and clamps, due to a possible future coolant leak.

Well that explains why I got such a great dividend check last quarter from my Stock in Band-Aid !! …… All joking aside, we have the same year Sienna with 280k miles and have got a PO 333 a few times now so I know this project is in my future…Thanx so much for posting this !

Sadly, it took around 4 hours and I was stiff as a board the next day from all the reaching back to get that stupid bolt off!

I used a Fel-Pro intake manifold gasket set. Also, the rubber rings around the injectors seemed kind of hard and loose. I ordered what I thought was a replacement set but ended up being wrong so I just went with the old. I put the link to the gasket set in the video description.

Are both knock sensors the same part no.?

I think they're the same, I bought them as a set
