Good so far. I’ve put just over 30k miles on the car since swapping in the new suspension. For the money I’m pleased.

Have this problem, sill have my original shocks/struts (they make creeky noise) on my 2002 Solara SE V6 with 252,000 miles. Mechanics say a full shock replacement is not worth the $, but my originals still are serviceable. I have heard of the Solara V6's hitting 500,000 miles and want to keep going on. Good problem to have I suppose.

I'm hoping to get at least 300k! Definitely a good problem to have. Typically I would agree but the price on the full shock assembly replacement was more cost effective than just replacing the strut.

I still have the original struts. 2002 SLE.

@@atpgarageatl I replaced both suspension's and CV axle but I can still hear clunking noise.. you think it may be the sway bar links or lower control arms bushings?

@@richcityrepresentative8805 very possible it could be a control arm bushing.

Good video. I own the same exact year/model. How much were the struts? How long did the total job take? (Not including the tools). Is it same for the rear? I have about 153K miles. How have they held up? Thanks.
@atpgarageatl Жыл бұрын
Thanks. The struts we’re about $200 for the pair with shipping. Total job was about an hour and a half. Rear is a bit harder because you have to take the back seat apart to reach the top bolts. They are holding up great. Two years later and still going strong.

@@atpgarageatl My 2002 SLE makes creaking noises from the right rear. Usually when I start/ stop. Sounds like from the suspension. Has for years. Any ideas what this could be? Should I be concerned? Thanks.
@atpgarageatl Жыл бұрын
@@kentclark5594 it could be the struts creaking but these cars have bushing that could need to be replaced as well. It may be worth taking it to a mechanic and letting them inspect.

Hello. Wondering if you know how to change the tail/ spoiler bulbs in solara? Mines are not working. Same gen.
@atpgarageatl3 жыл бұрын
The bulbs in the spoiler are an led strip. You would need to replace the entire strip or solder in new leds on the electrical board.
