Don't you just love easy jobs. The car is super clean underneath. That's pretty neat how you waited to cut the nylon strap. I'll be sure to try that the next time 👍

Good video - I just bought some Gabriel Ultra for the rear on my 02 2WD Tacoma. They did not come with hardware. I am replacing some Ranchos that were not made for this truck so the hardware is different. Your video showed me what I need to come up with. Good info on nut size and torque - thanks. (I will not be buying Gabriel in the future)

Didn't have a digital but a manual click torque wrench. Set it on 20 but felt that was to tight, being that the bushings seemed really squished. Is that normal?

The KYB’s I bought for my 86 Nissan hardbody even with the band still left on the shock, the shock was still to long as it goes slightly past the bottom bolt. So cutting the band after installing the shock on the top bolt does not help. So basically I am left having to really “muscle” to compress that shock to get it on the bottom bolt. And yes, I double checked, they are the right shocks for that truck.
@BigDog500013 жыл бұрын
Many times the shocks have to be muscled in to place, it doesn't matter the make or model.
@philipcabezas45224 жыл бұрын
Hello Sir, did you jack the truck up? Thank you
@BigDog500014 жыл бұрын
No, not for the rear. If I did, I would have shown it.

Is the procedure the same if you jack it up to have more room? Would jacking it increase the potential of danger?

What are the torque specs on the rear?
@koreymayo88843 жыл бұрын
19 foot pounds for regular cab, but for prerunner and 4wd which have the larger cab its 53 foot pounds.
@Nebraska2927 Жыл бұрын
@@koreymayo8884 Thanks for specifying the PreRunner because that was my main question. I assumed the PreRunner would fall under the 4X4 specs because as you know it’s identical in every other way. Just wanted to make sure because 19 to 53 is a huge difference! I should’ve scrolled down here before I posted my question about that. Thanks!
