The Vitz was introduced by Toyota in 1997 when the Frankfurt Motor Show was underway. The team of the first generation of the Vitz gave the name of XP10 and for the first time, it was introduced in the Japanese market in the month of January, 1999. Initially, it was introduced with a fuel efficient engine of 997cc due to which it was able to cover 22 kilometers in a liter. This wonderful vehicle was able both in manual five-speed and automatic four-speed transmission. This car got appreciation also due to a wide space for both the adults and cargo space.
The technology evolved in the first generation as high capacity 1296cc and 1496cc engines were also introduced in these years. It is also important to mention that CVT and four wheel drive also became the part of the Toyota Vitz during these years. The most popular first generation Toyota Vitz was that particular one which has a 1296cc engine, but with 23 km/l fuel capacity. This first generation got a great appreciation from the market and Japanese car exporters earned a lot in these years due to this particular sporty exterior Vitz.

My brother bought this car in 2007 which was imported by his colleague and driven only on margalla road, Islamabad for 3 years. Then we drove it for almost 4 years and at every kind of road. But didnt even visit for wheel balancing. Amazing car.

Vitz 1999-2003 k jo common faults mayn nay dekhy hayn wo ye k aik jo Farhan ny btyay Head Volves ka issue bohot aata hay, average km/l 12-13 hay, mobile oil jalati hay, speed breaker pr gari lgti hay, blower ki direction change krny waly button ki cable kharab hoti hay.

15 year old car you bought for around 8 lakh that too 1000 cc... Kabhi kabhi apke video dekh ke behoshi a jati hai.. But you are doing a great job sunil ji.. Here in 5 lakh.. I can buy a 2005 Mercedes C class model in very good condition.. But obviously its merc so service and maintenance is costly.. I hope there happens some improvement under Imran government in Pakistan car market also.. In this age Pakistani deserves much better cars at much lower prices.. Hope it will happen soon..

Lol buddy, Go own a 1st gen Vitz than you will know how good is it... No Mercedes can come in 5 lakhs. I own a 2004..... Having great experience with it.. Today Vitz 2004 is 17 years old but still 11 lakhs, because its a reliable car. Think before you write negative.
