Toyota Yaris: Safety Sense. Lane Trace Assist Rear Cross Traffic Alert Blind Spot Monitor : 1001cars

New Toyota Yaris 2020/2021 is equipped with number of active safety systems as standard (Toyota Safety Sense). It is: Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection (PCS), Road Sign Assist (RSA), Lane Departure Alert (LDA). Optional is: Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert with automatic braking (RCTA RCTB). Here you can see how they work in real-life conditions. Test.

Also, the front and rear parking radars are not available in the French 2020 model, you only get the rear camera :-( The parking radars will only be available in France in the updated 2021 models, but for sure they won't feature the 360° camera :-(

Shame that here in Czech Republic BSM, RCTA and parking sensors are unavailable. What a laziness from Toyota. The Yaris is even produced here...

@@grzegorzkl4622 well, it may be produced in France, but the French 2020 models don't feature the parking sensors either, they will only be available in the 2021 models that will enter production this month... :-( My 2020 model just has the rear camera even though it's the upper-range model

In my opinion it is 100% enough for such car, especially if you don't want to be the fastest one on every start :)

In the last sequence, he deactivated the lane tracing assist. But overall it doesn't look very precise anyway. Still better than any pingpong-ish older model. I tried a Honda and it's LTA and ACC was so smooth. Didn't tried it on curvy roads but it was very pleasant.

Unfortunately, the new Yaris 2020 sold on the Polish market does not have BSM installed. Even as optional :(

Is the adaptive cruise on this the same as on new golf, where it slows down with the traffic signs and uses gps to slow into bends etc? Or is just ordinary cruise adaptive cruise?
