Great video comparing all the trims. Very helpful for those of us considering getting one soon.

I’d get the base model it’s got all I need. It would be cool to see all of the exterior lights on the different trims.
@GeneralSirDouglasMcAАй бұрын
Base model gets better fuel economy, ESPECIALLY with the hybrids.
@davidy.7534Ай бұрын
I was debating on the Corolla Cross hybrid S and SE trims and ended up with the base. I don't need a wireless charger, roof racks, sun roof, and whatever else comes with the higher trims. So far no regrets despite the Camry looking nice.
@junior17medvalАй бұрын
Same, I want the base camry as I don’t need the expensive fancy stuff. At the end of the day I want a reliable and fuel efficient commuter sedan.
@wolflarson71Ай бұрын
Those chintzy rims though.
@QuentinQuatermassАй бұрын
I would like to see the exterior lights turned on too. I expect it will be like the current 8th generation, the XLE/XSE will be nicer and full LEDs. When I got my 2019 SE I was disappointed the wraparound taillights didn't light up! And finally put XSE taillight housings on my SE.

Brilliant video. I haven't seen anyone else compare the 4 trims in detail like that. And the review of features list by trim was really helpful. I couldn't figure why the base LE had a leather wheel until you showed the trim list and it's on the $600 cold weather package. The LE is my choice because of 16" wheels and softer suspension than SE.
@gigglybeast28 күн бұрын
I want the XSE with 16" wheels. Big wheels are stupid.
@stevenr135428 күн бұрын
@gigglybeast Would cost you about $1200 to get decent 16" alloys and tires. I recently dumped the 18" wheels on my Civic Sport and downsized to 16". Have to insure that brake calipers can accommodate downsizing.
@tylersimpson3512Ай бұрын
Toyota made the right decision going with the 16” alloys instead of the steel with wheel covers on the LE

Thanks for doing such a great deep dive on the trims Jeff! I haven’t been able to get this content anywhere else! I really like the XLE but the dinamica suede looks straight up cheap compared to leather. The SE softex looks great but probably runs hotter on longer road trips and I’d prefer the softer ride of the XLE.
@johngalt541122 күн бұрын
Nice comparison, thx!

Thanks for this--very informative. I am probably going to get LE (16 inch wheels) to avoid higher tire prices, as I tend to keep cars for a long time.

Why can’t larger wheels be OPTIONAL? I want 16” but also want the features of XLE, etc. This should at least be a no charge swap at Toyota dealerships.
@williamjerseyshoreАй бұрын
Americans seems to be in love with the large wheels. They make very little sense for a daily driver.
@brandononbrandАй бұрын
@@williamjerseyshore yeah! And such a head scratcher for a hybrid, which is supposed to be about efficiency... Fine to make big wheels an option, but standard equipment should always maintain the integrity of efficiency
@SashazurАй бұрын
I hate large wheels - they’re more delicate (both the rims and the tires) and they ride harsher.
@rosstoolfan29 күн бұрын
Agreed. XLE for me but a new wheel/tire choice from TireRack. Lightweight 16" wheels and Michelin CrossClimate 2's
@dominionian719326 күн бұрын
This is *exactly* the reason I would go for XLE instead of XSE -- I feel that 19" wheels on a Camry only has aesthetic benefits, but has a lot of drawbacks in being prone to damage
@marinointАй бұрын
Rear A/C vents even on the base LE trim! That would be a big selling point over its competitions. The available AWD is fantastic too!
@bill.godwin-austenАй бұрын
For my tastes, it looks like the XLE has the most bang for the buck. One thing I wish: That the seat memory function was available in a package less massive than the "Premium Plus" (at $4k+). It's the only feature in that package that is really calling to me, and not worth having to get all the other items just to get the seat memory. Having a smaller "convenience/tech" package to be able to get that at a more reasonable additional cost would make it a lot more attractive.
@eleanormassaro5195Ай бұрын
I wish the rain sensing wipers were available on the XSE model!
@ICU306Ай бұрын
The led daytime running lights and led turn signals front/rear should be standard on ALL trims. That really grinds my gears
@jr1885Ай бұрын
I’m not really sure why Toyota thinks this is great place to cost cut. I especially don’t like the small rear LED dots as taillights on the LE and SE.
@openscholar9908Ай бұрын
Why? Shouldn't we have options to pick what we want?
@junior17medvalАй бұрын
I don’t know why this surprises some of you. Toyota has been doing this for years. If they make it standard on all models no one would want to buy the higher end models.
@tylerm1997Ай бұрын
Toyota has been misleading with their lighting designs for the longest and it drives me nuts too. They claim that the Corolla has “distinct” signature daytime running lights but in reality they’re headlight integrated and not distinct at all. Even on the current 2024 models. The turn signals are LED but they’re not the DRLs and they’re only on when the headlights are on. It really started with their “Triple J” headlight design. They’re accent lighting . It’s also wild to think that it’s 2024 and they still have vehicles that have halogen DRLs
@EssenceofPureFlavorАй бұрын
Not everyone wants LEDs in the first place.
@PhuGamerАй бұрын
The XSE premium plus package doesn’t come with memory seat while the XLE premium plus package does…Toyota must really hate us “sporty” driver here to not have that luxury feature lol
@jaqkorycohen2236Ай бұрын
for real same with kia
@gigglybeast28 күн бұрын
They also think we want those ridiculous oversized wheels.
@dominionian719326 күн бұрын
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the XSE premium plus package also doesn't come with rain-sensing wipers, while XLE does? I'm assuming this may be to make up for costs of other things exclusive to XSE (19" wheels, spoiler and other sport body molds, etc)
@IrishmanbikesАй бұрын

@chrisocon20 күн бұрын
Yes to both
@Dac54Ай бұрын
My favorite trim is the XSE with the premium plus package and awd, though not necessarily in that color. It seems that the only feature not available on the XSE is the memory seat function, which I've never used on my Rav4 Hybrid Limited anyway. I wish the XSE would have fog lights included since it's the higher end sport trim. Otherwise, the LE is my second favorite trim; it's actually a nice trim and value, especially with the added options. Did anyone notice the spot of paint chipped off on the left side of the front bumper on the XLE?
@513partyrockerАй бұрын
At around 1 minute 37 seconds in the video, you can see a guardian gray Prius in the background and then immediately get a look at the underground Camry. Those colors look pretty darn similar in this video. What do you think Jeff? Are they similar colors in person?

Yes, definitely similar but if you put them next to each other, you’ll see a difference. I’ll try to get the two colors together for a Facebook picture together.

I want the LE. With the 16 in. wheels, it gets better fuel economy than the other trims with 18 in. tires. It also appears the Push Start Button is an option and not standard on LE & SE trims. I would rather have the standard turn key. The push start button is nice, but can be expensive to repair if it ever malfunctions. Also, I’ve heard of vehicles (including Camrys) being stolen with push start. When drivers use their fobs, hackers can steal information and be able to start the vehicle and drive away.

@tails300Ай бұрын
@@truckercowboyed2638the combined torque of the e-motor and gas engine isn’t listed on the Camry hybrids specs, but I’d estimate it to be the same or slightly more. It should be noted that even though the Accord lists its hybrid systems net torque it’ll almost never reach it because engine torque and electric motor torque happen at different times. Also because of the way Honda’s i-MMD hybrid system works you have to meet a specific threshold to get full fuel net torque.
