Mousetrap was another fun game with lots of parts, but good quality parts. We had a game called 'Chop Suey'. you wound up a chop suey bowl and it vibrated and rotated. The aim was to pick odd shaped items out of the bowl with chop sticks. Each item had a point value. Something easy to pick up, like a cube, was worth a small amount of points. The round ball was very hard to pick up, so it was worth a lot of points. You had to pick up the pieces, not just scoot them out of the bowl. We all got very proficient with chops sticks. I once won a bet by picking up a round ice cube out of my iced tea with chop sticks. 🤣

A great trip down memory lane 😌😌😌!! Remember having these games as kids and all the fun our family had with them. The days of landlines, no cell phones, no cable TV and no computers or internet!!! Yes, the good old days when life was simpler and more enjoyable!! The kids today could never have this much fun. Thanks for reminding us how wonderful it was!!!!

I was very fortunate to get a Super Spirograph set years ago. It has a bonus gold colored cog in it. The pieces are still made of quality plastic like the original ones. The difference is for holding down the round piece the cog (or round disk) goes into is reusable puddy is used instead of pins. I must add that I'm 61 years old and love my Spirograph and playing classic games. 😁

My favorite was Spirograph. You could make so many visual shapes and designs. It was really cool. There was another toy they did not mention. It was called the Air Blaster gun. from the 1960's. It was shaped like a gun from outer space and when you shot it, a blast of air would come out! The toys back then were so cool and fun.

How about 'Voodoo', 'Don't Spill the Beans', 'Kerplunk', 'Rebound', 'Shenanigans' and my sister's favorite, 'Mystery Date'. I also proudly owned an original GI Joe and still have my first Matchbox Car (I think it was 1964).

Very fun :) - As kid of the 60s, I played all the games shown, had a few, even have an original Spirograph (though not my original), but do have my original Twister (not shown in this vid). - And, to this day, as I close the local coffeeshop, I can occasionally be heard exclaiming, "I'm the sole survivor!" (though not sure if anybody get's the reference anymore these days). - Such good games; such good times! :)

I loved Spirographs. The problem was when the pens ran out or were lost. The included pens had smaller ink tips than standard pens of the day. You could still use regular pens but you had to push down really hard and that would often cause the base ring to slip and ruining the pattern. Oh well, still great fun ! Does anyone else remember "Mumblety-Peg Plus"? For my sixth birthday I got the early version with the sticker on the box advertising "Now with razor-sharp knives!" and no safety warnings; just basic instructions printed on the inside box top. Bobby "Four Fingers" Kowalski and I would play this on my front lawn all day. My mom would bring us sulfa packs and bandages. I lost interest in it after a week, so I gave it to Bobby and he played it all through college, even when he went to keggers and other alcohol-fueled parties. That's how he got his nickname.

Does anyone remember a game from back then called Clean Sweep? It had little plastic brooms and hundreds of different shaped pieces of plastic like bottles, banana peels, old shoes etc and plastic garbage cans and you had to sweep up the garbage pieces? Also, a game with a big wheel you cranked and it turned like a ferris wheel sort of and there were different parts of plastic robots in each of the buckets on the wheel. The object was to build a complete robot before the other players finished theirs. I don't remember the name of that game though.

Thank you for posting your videos. I really enjoy them. I have a question I hope you can answer as you are a collector of old toys and games and may know the answer. In the early 70’s I used to have a board game called “Swords and Shields”. I used to really enjoy playing it. I don’t remember which company released it, it may have been Milton Bradley. It was a standard sized board with squares like checkers. The game pieces looked like little swords and shields. One opponent played as Swords and the other as shields. Do you know of this game? I can’t seem to find any information about it online. Thank you!
