I shop at Target and Walmart here in Michigan. But it's not even close to being the same. Toys R Us will always be the absolute best.

This was really cool to see. Toys r us meant so much to me as a kid. I went there every friday for most of my childhood and i was so sad when they closed here back in 2018. When i took my trip to canada in 2022 i was able to visit a toys r us and even though its not as great as it used to be its almost like reuniting with a family member and it did make me slightly tear up. Thanks for the video andrew!

Toys r us was the best.. my parents took me and my brother there almost every week after going to dinner on Friday nite., always got a game or 2 and usually a set of legos…I remember Christmas time my mom would give me that holiday catalog and a marker so I could circle what games I wanted..

That's awesome! I have lots of fond memories of spending time at Toys R Us with my family as well. My Mom would let me play the Super Mario 64 demo unit for hours before I got an N64 of my own. I really appreciated that. Thank you so much for watching and commenting! :)

Decades ago there was a Shopko near home that I liked to do my game shopping at. Why? Because no one else shopped there for games, so I would normally be able to pick up games that were sold out everywhere else. The most memorable to me was getting Sonic Heroes there when it was sold out everywhere else. Shopko doesn't exist anymore except for their vision centers.

I had to look up Shopko, that's really cool! Kind of reminds me of Zellers here. It wasn't usually anyone's first choice for games, but they'd typically have what you needed. It's also where I got Mario Kart DS a day early! Thank you for watching and commenting. :)
