Stop-Motion Transformation of ToysEasy YW-2301 Type 001 CV-16 Liaoning. Solid torso bot. I wish these things could have consistent names. Be sure to note that knee tweak going to/from robot mode. The knees have to be just so for the ship or torso mode to fit together properly. I would advise caution when wrestling with those rotating things in the armpits that carry the deck segments.

Production Note: Whew - photography took 6 hours and 1575 photos! I forgot to show the tweaks to the tips of the runways in torso mode. I’ll trust the viewer to figure that out from the completed view. Aaaaand another 2.5 hours to edit. There goes my day. This might be my longest production for a single figure ever. And another 30 minutes to render. And another 30 minutes to upload.

If you want to follow along, I recommend skipping to the speed run and using your , and . keyboard keys to advance by single frames. Every step of the transformation is documented in the frames of the video, in what I consider to be the best sequence. With minimal rubbing and minimal parts-parking.

Having a cold, I see how messed up I am right now. That looks hella crazy to transform to me at the moment. So now all we have to do is wait for the transport ship, if I'm not mistaken. I do kind of like the sub cannon, doesn't really make up for no sub transformer, but it's there at least.

@@abezworld9435 So far they are individual purchases. There is an arm, a leg, a torso (all of which I have videos for) a gun (in hand but video pending) and another arm and leg they haven't set preorders for yet.

Technically six. I have in hand a ship that turns into a gun for the combined mode. Haven't gotten to shooting it yet. There is an arm and a leg left to go that don't have preorders yet.

Least favorite is the first arm figure because they botched the design of the locking pelvis. I suppose my favorite is the leg guy so far.

Dude, the effort you put into this is sick. It took me about 2 hours of fiddling (without instructions or videos) to get him from robot to carrier mode, how the heck long did it take you to film this?
