Hi I was wondering if I could connect this to the regular home wifi wirelessly and would i be able to use the ethernerports on the back to my ps5.And would it come up as a wired connection instead of wireless.(sorry if I’m late)

Yes. But imo, buy a cheap one with Gigabit ports.

which do you think is faster/better? Netgear AX12 Rax120 or TP-Link Archer C5400x or TP-Link AX6000? please rank 1st, 2nd & 3rd. Great video. Thanks

I have not tested the AX12 or the AX6000. I should be getting my hands on the AX6000 soon. All I can say at this time is this...the AX12 and AX6000 are almost identical. Both have the same chipset. The AX6000 runs at 1.8Ghz, while the AX12 is running at 2.2Ghz (over clocked). There is a $100 difference for .4Ghz more.

Hi there, and thank you for the video! I currently have xfinity with xfi. We are paying for a gig data speed. We only get 300mbps to 500mbps within 10 feet. My question is 1)Does it boost speeds above in my case 1 gig (another words is it a router, booster, and extender all in one)? Im pairing it with a netgear top of the line modem. Do you think I can achieve 1 gig using wifi? Thank you so much!
@brentlee714 жыл бұрын
So many variables come into play when trying actually to achieve the maximum speeds promised by you ISP. I would not say the AC5400 boost signals, but I did see improve response time and I saw increased up/down numbers comparably.

Love your videos 2 Questions,Just ordered this router and its in the process of being shipped now, can everything be set up with the T-p Link tether app?? Second can i use Ports 2 and 3(link aggregation) ports for my fire stick for streaming and the other port for my gaming computer and what benefit will these ports give me or just use the other ones. Sorry if these are dumb questions ,am new to this and my very old router never had these features .... Thanks a million and keep the videos coming

I was able to get everything setup using the mobile app. After that I used the routers online management page to further configure to my needs. Such as traffic management, VPN, etc. Port aggregation is possible with this router. I use mine currently for storage devices, work laptop, etc. Thank you for the encouragement! I greatly appreciate it! This has been a hobby for me honestly. My real job takes up a lot of time lately. I hope to get back to knocking out more videos soon.

I know I’m a bit late but I was wondering about getting this. What if I live with a big family are they able to use the regular internet while the gaming router is used for gaming?
@brentlee714 жыл бұрын
Yes. You can use this router and the rest of the family could use the regular router.

Is there a reason to not use 5G all the time? Also, would this router work well with 4 gaming computers, and maybe 2-3 mobile devices for 5-6 hours a day? Thank you, been reading reviews all morning and finally found this router, which might be my pick. AT&T's router is not at all reliable for us on a mobile connection, and it'd be nice to actually get the full Mb/s we pay for.
@brentlee715 жыл бұрын
I never switch off of 5ghz. The router/software has Prioritized Performance. Which means you can set the QoS to keep connections fast where you need it the most.

Not all devices have dual band. Also if you are a long distance away the 2.4 band offers longer range.

Amyraw29... tried to reply directly to your comment, but it won't let me. 🤷♂️ Gaming router can in most cases improve speed and connectivity. Especially if you are using a router provided by your internet provider.
@Msigw4 жыл бұрын
Whoa. Wait a minute... If you're paying for 700 plus and getting 10% of that over wifi, you're ripping yourself off. Orbi is almost the same cost and you can get at least 400 plus through your whole property, not just the house. Though it still has crap firmware (July 2020) that doesn't handle VOIP or dual Xbox Ones well at all. The wireless performance of this router is abysmal. I guess if you don't care about wireless, thats fine, but I want full speed all the time, everywhere. I'm not paying for a gig in the office, and then discount service in the kitchen. And nothing in the yard. Thats me, this is my comment, and thank you for saving me from this pile of mediocrity. Its a damn shame we've been conditioned to accept this sort of performance as "ok", cause its not.

For the last two years I’ve had the same issue with the Tp-link AC5400 (Archer C5400). I don’t even bother with the 2.4, because it’s mainly non-existing. I was looking for something with better signal strength and dependability. Hoping that the new AC5400 fixed the issues. I also use 2 Tp-link AC2600 extenders and those can’t maintain off the AC5400.
