It's spelled "mu-mimo" but it's pronounced "throatwarbler mangrove." I've had an EAP620 HD in our house for about six months now, and it installed and works without any issue. Coverage from the front sidewalk to the rear deck is excellent on the 5G band, and I have no idea how far my 2.4G signal goes.

I don’t have the Omada commercial system, but I do use their Deco consumer mesh system and even though there is no traditional backend it’s still a great router. We have the XE75Pro, a WiFi 6E system.

TP-Link, they are at least consistent. Their ceiling mount APs are giant, and not only did they rip off the Unifi controller, but that outdoor AP is a direct knock-off of the UAP-AC-M, all the way down to being 48v/24v compatible!

I for one am very happy to see these, healthy competition will only make both TP and UI step up and deliver better products for us the consumers. I do hate the fact that they are clearly UI knockoffs - at least at this point. I did checkout your merchandise store but did not find your the "I Like DNS" t-shirt, can you post a link to it?

I bought from Amazon a TP-Link Omada outdoor. The configuration I want is different from the one in the installation guide. I'm at a camping ground and the signal inside my VR is really weak. I want to put the TP-Link outside the RV connected via an Ethernet cable to the inside of the van, where the Poe injector and router are. Is that configuration possible ?

Non TPlink question, but may be relevant to others as well: I have a NanoHD (4x4 but only wifi 5), and a U6 lite (wifi 6, but only 2x2). Which one should I put in the more dense area of the house?

@HoleLeashIt
@HoleLeashIt 2 жыл бұрын
@@Daniel-nm9rm I get that it says in the name, but wifi 6 is supposed to be better with multiple users I guess due to OFDMA so it isn’t very clear to me if 2x2 vs 4x4 matters in that situation
@bothorsen4292
@bothorsen4292 2 жыл бұрын
U6 lite. Every test that's done shows a much better bandwidth with the U6 lite over any of the old wifi 5 APs. The 2x2 MIMO in the lite can saturate the 1gbit line, so the nanoHD has no advantage over it. Also, a house is *never* a dense area, so 2x2 is not a problem

Continuing to save money on tooling with those huge housings is actually hurting the company by leaving so much potential customers money on the table. Being tone def to this fact, also has me questioning what a customer support experience would be like. Personally would love to give them a go based on price to performance, but really not sure how much that size would ultimately bug me.

The EAP610-0utdoor has been promised since January of 2021. It is still imaginary. WiFi-6E will be rolled out by other vendors before TP gets their act together. They really missed the boat on this one.
