TP&W at Morton, IL - Feb. 3, 2025

A Toledo, Peoria & Western Railway local comes into Morton, Illinois to fetch two empty herbicide tank cars from Fort Transfer Company late-afternoon Monday, February 3, 2025. IMRR 2108 and TPW 2056 do the honors on this trip. Scenes are at Jefferson Street and Nebraska Avenue in Morton, Harding Road and Tennessee Avenue at Crandall and at N. Main Street in Morton on Norfolk Southern Railway's Bloomington District, on which TP&W has trackage rights to reach its Morton Industrial Spur.

Good to see confirmation they still come to Morton once in a while. I just "discovered" the Morton branch a week or two ago thanks to a video Kyle B. Videography did on the abandoned crossing at the end of it. Those tracks look pretty rough on Google Street View.

Does the tpw still use their caboose on the Morton branch, or are those days long gone?

@@hunterkiller86 I last saw them use it in September 2013, and nowhere since. It is an Air BnB now.
