I just wanna get to know Bert and Gladys. The second I heard Sundqvist was their last name I knew "They gotta live in Minnesota" and sure enough, she says she does. Scandinavians all can recognize this. Sadly, Gladys passed on long ago, as she would be 110 this year.

$150 (no monitor) It quickly became the best-selling home computer in America, controlling, by the end of 1982, approximately 35% of the market--150,000 machines a month. In February 1983, TI cut the price to $150, and then in June 1983, it offered a plastic version of the TI-99/4a for less than $100

I would have taken $500 and quit with one punch to go. Yes I know that may not be the best move, but there's that risk of getting a lower amount when giving it back. If it was the first punch with three to go, I would have given it back. It's just one of those days where it didn't work out that way for the contestant with just $50 at the end...

Nah all those prizes come with 1099's attached, it's free to win so it's always best go for all the marbles, She already had a few prizes to keep so anything she gained was already profit. Game shows usually punish those without the guts to press on that 1 more time, you might not win the big prize every time but it's never worth it to just keep 2nd or 4th best.

And especially if there was one more punch to go - maybe if there were three punches to go, I would have given it back. Sometimes it's the luck of the draw that really kicks in for this game especially where the slips with all the money are put in each hole.
