Bob was an absolute LEGEND. No one worked the crowd like he did. He had a way of roasting the contestants in a way that they never felt bad about themselves. It was all in jest (but a part of him was serious). He was a true genius, a gentleman and incredible talent. He was one of a kind and there will never be another one like him.

Ah man. I didn't expect the flash backs from watching this as a kid in the 90's before he retired. Drew Carey is fine host but it just ain't the same. Bob made the show popular. Was funny and had a soothing voice to make this a great show to enjoy late at night while falling asleep.

i think you're missing a few major world events there, like the cold war and the rwanda genocides, just to pick two. we've always had wars and horrible things going on, they just weren't as in-your-face before the internet. thankfully, the world is constantly improving and violence is lower (and quality of living higher) than it ever has been, worldwide. onward and upward!
