Never use a battery with the bt board unless you want to set your house on fire by plugin the micro usb charger (which + & - are directly connected to the BAT + & - of the board).

Yes it's true.If you give 12v dc supply it will give 5w in each channel.If You give 16v dc power supply it will give 15w in each channel.

And the bass is also good if you use 1 4ohm 5w woofer and 1 4ohm 5w subwoofer it's best and it's very loud and clear.
