Not pointing any fingers at players for individual performance... But there's a reason why you play veteran players at the center position and not freshmen.. You can see seth is making them all better... The communication and continuity is light years ahead of what it was last year

I think Hinzman would be good if he was starting at Center this season, but McLaughlin is playing great, due to his multiple years of experience and development.

Donny Jackson will have no problem playing next to Seth.There may be a few snafus.. But they should play much better with him in the lineup.. I don't think you're going to see any issues after maybe this game

I hope you're right. I'm less sure, but I believe that it should be an improvement. We need a set of starters to really play as one unit.

I knew I was 100% wrong about how good I thought a freshman WR could be when I saw J.J. Smith accelerate away from Division 1 athletes, after catching that little hitch with two feet on the ground. I've never seen that before.😲

You are so right.His speed is so sneaky.He doesn't really look like he's running that fast.. His acceleration is kind of sneaky, too. He's pretty big to get moving that quickly, from 0 to whatever top speed is.

I have to disagree that big non conference games aren’t important. They are very important. Important for the history of college football, important for the fans and they can be beneficial for the players. Saying they’re not important as an argument against this weak schedule thing is just a bad argument. The fact is some years you’ll have a big noncon game and some years you won’t. All that matters is the outcome of the season 🤷🏻‍♂️ play your games and win your games

Exactly. We’ve played Texas, Oregon and plenty of other marquee games when it was nearly impossible to make a natty without being undefeated or 1 loss. If we did it then, we can do it now. Very soft takes from these 2 today.

The big difference I see in the Buckeyes since Ryan Day's (and Brian Hartline) arrival is that players like Jeremiah Smith want to come here. The recruiting success in the last 3-4 years has been phenomenal.

That's why it's kind of ridiculous when people claim Ryan Day isn't a good coach or he should be fired when about 80% of a college program's success is determined by talent acquisition. He's a Top 5 recruiter on the national level, so I wonder who do they plan on replacing him with.

The big twelve kept it's new conference teams as non-conference games because of the move.I don't know why ohio state and the big ten couldn't have kept those games.. One thing it's better for the fans.

I disagree with the 12 games.Every team should have to play two MAC (level) conference teams and 10 conference oppents... But if you're. Going to do it it has to be standardized... Not like we are now where the s e c plays eight conference games

I've always like the concept of an SEC/Big 10 challenge. Now with the expanded conferences even more so. Have one game a year where each SEC team plays a Big 10 team. The schedule is based off the prior year's ranking. So if Ohio State wins the Big 10 they play the SEC conference champion the following year. Odd ranked teams (1, 3, 5, etc.) play home games for Big 10 even ranked teams (2, 4, 6, etc.) home for the SEC. Then flip it each year. As an Ohio State fan, I'd want the game to be schedule in a cold weather month and SEC fans would want it in September. Regardless, a Big 10/SEC challenge annually would make for a fun lineup of games.

What an awful take😂 the entire point of the expanded playoffs is so you can schedule MORE big out of conference games. You can’t talk up the big ten as a comparable conference to the second and then act scared to play them. The only way to change the sec narrative is to have big ten teams beat sec teams regularly. If the sec wins more then it’s not a narrative it’s just a fact.

Because the calls wasn’t right that’s why Carson isn’t the center you have Seth making calls. the right calls now a freshman like Austin looks good because of that. Just like in the mizzu Game Center not making right calls only going on 1 not diversifying the snap made players look bad
