Thank you for that bolt thread hole-drilling tip! Working on my degree from KZbin University but I'm still a few credits short apparently

Thanks for watching. It was my dad that gave me that trick a while back, but I'm glad to hear it might help someone else out with their rig :)

I heard that the steering rack case is prone to crack with that modification… some people say the ideal is to upgrade the inner tie rod only, and use the oem outer tie rod to keep a “fuse” in the system, and be able to replace it easily in the trails… what is your opinion about that? Thanks! 👍🏻

If you're talking about the 2nd gen racks, I cracked one on my '05 Xterra while I was in a parking lot. It's my understanding that some of the rack failures that have occurred are because of the movement that worn mounting bushings can cause? Of course, larger tires, heavier vehicles and off road abuse can accelerate the wear on the rack and bushings. There are some delrin and polyurethane aftermarket bushing options. I've installed some delrin steering rack bushings from PRG products. I'm hoping this will help, but only time will tell.
