This is one of the best and most under-rated KZbin Channels. Keep up the great work guys!

I know this is an older video but your rod ends squeak like crazy right outta tge bag they came from for me.... stupid loud too.

Call the shop. Send us a video of the squeak. Maybe we can help you with that. Our rod ends don’t squeak but maybe we got a bad one. Never know. 👍🏼

the top bin is full of .40 S&W Rod Ends. do you also make 10mm and .45 acp. Rod Ends?

not sure if you guys will answer but what happens if you extend the threaded part ? Let’s say by welding same size thread pitch rod then reinforcing by welding a metal sheath over the joint ? Thank you
@ShockTherapyllc7 ай бұрын
Never weld to a rod end. They are high carbon heated 4340. It will become brittle and break. Maybe extend the treaded part the rod end goes into?

@@ShockTherapyllc thank you for your insight and knowledge. The rod ends are going into a machined rear upper control arm. Not sure how I could extend the mating surface 🤒

I got Hotchkiss and I don't even have 2k miles on my car and I hear a clunk when I simply turn the steering wheel!! Can you explain why?
@ShockTherapyllc2 ай бұрын
Typically road car or street suspension kits use the injected style rod ends. Those don’t last long and will squeak and pop when they loose the injected liner.

Running rubber boots on a 5/8 help out longevity?
@ShockTherapyllc2 ай бұрын
No. High quality rod ends don’t need boots. They self clean. Also boots tend to hold in mud and moisture which ruin low quality rod ends.

Is it common for rod ends to make popping noise. There is no play or anything loose at all. It's all pretty new like less than 400 miles on it. It's a 2000 jeep cherokee that's lifted 5in.

Rod ends don’t usually pop. They squeak.
@readmore3634 Жыл бұрын
My mechanic, who used to be a service manager for a large Ford dealer, told me when I bought a 6" raised Excursion "it's going to pop and creek". I didn't ask him why but I assume it's do to the added stress on the suspension. Your Jeep is now more top heavy. Wheel spacers or off-set rims are an un-necessary liability too. I have new rims and 35" tires now with factory alignment.... zero off-set.

@@ShockTherapyllc it ended up being the track bar mount. I tightened those and quietly as a mouse. I hear squeaking but when that happens I clean the rod ends and lube with dry lube and it's quiet again

So you'd have to be a masochist to run these on a daily driver. Probably have to replace them every month.
