You're right, Jarvis. That's Kyle, but she's filling in for Holly. That was an interesting font used for the dollar amounts on the bottom board when Plinko was first introduced.

I think the font they used for the 1st Plinko board makeover was "Jimbo".

i'm guessing in february of 1986 or later as rod is announcing here...during late 85 and early 86, various announcers tried out for the spot before rod earned his right to invite contestants to come on down on tpir...

@nextbarker...i'm guessing around march or april of 1991, because the record holder under the original dolllar values hit 4 chips in the 5k slot during a playing in january or february of that year, though the new colour scheme was present in the eps i taped from the summer of '91....
