Guys do note, the ethernet cable inside the box is CAT5 and hence the speed will be limited to 100 Mbps even if you have a 1 Gbps connection. Get a CAT 7 cable externally to take full advantage of the router.

the maximum speed this router will deliver is 100mbps unless you use it exclusively as a wireless repeater (picks up wi-fi signal and re-transmits). Otherwise you will be bottlenecked by your WAN or LAN ports which are all only 10/100 and not gigabit.

same bro, i got scammed, i bought this router thinking that it is a gigabit router as they advertise it on the box and website that it supports 2.4GHz 300 Mbps and 5GHz 867 Mbps connections for 1200 Mbps of total available bandwidth, but when i upgraded my 100Mbps plan to 200Mbps plan, nothing happened bcz it will give max speed of 100Mbps as it does not have any Gigabit ports

@@mdhamidiqbal5813 if there are too many walls and doors/windows are closed then the internet on ground floor is very weak but if you are talking about running youtube on phone or laptop it does well in 720p but takes time for 1080 the download speed is about 7-8 mbps but is not constant and drops down if u still need really strong connection then buy and connect a long cat 6 cable(comes as different size 10-20-30metres) from your router to laptop/Pc on ground floor or buy a wifi range extender which cost around 1100-2000 rs or this product, the cable cost Rs300 for 10metres btw.

Just to be clear, i just realised I have a 200 Mbps connection, but if you connect your internet to this router and connect the ethernet to the computer, you will only get a max of 100 and not more. you need to purchase a better router if you need to utilize the full speed of your connection.

AC1200 ArcherC50 Worst router 2.4 band always random drop issue. Tried installing it as a wireless repeater 5 times. Did not work. Took help with customer support They did same things which i already did. And they want me to change bandwidth of main router. ArcherC50 is not scanning main router's 5GHz but other peoples 5GHz network it is scanning. Do not buy anything from TP link. The customer support is also not very helpful technically.

FALSE ADVERTISING GIGABIT I have an Archer A5 v4. As per OpenWRT Forums A5 and C50 are clones i.e they have exactly the same chip. I have a Gigabit connection in my room and I would never go beyond 100 Mbps, even on 5Ghz connection. When I checked the details, the ports on this stupid router are only 10 and 100 Mbps BASE-T rated. So the wireless local connection is gigabit rated but the WAN RJ45 port is 100Mbps rated, it is a bottleneck, it won't allow you to go beyond 100.... this is the most stupid thing and false advertising by TP Link... I had to buy another Gigabit router because of this!
