Dr. Andersen performed 2 TPLOs on my dog. Both had wonderful outcomes. My dog now plays like a puppy again!! Very happy!

@@Bad888Max he passed last December due to the boxer heart problems. After the surgery he was wonderful. Took about a month to fully recover. We did the underwater treadmill for weeks to strengthen it up.

Three years after posting this, it continues to be an invaluable resource across the country for those looking for education and empowerment! I'm in Florida and my family's dog Buddy's right rear CCL ruptured recently and so we must gear up for the surgery described here. (This was also done last year when he ruptured his left rear CCL, and he recovered fine.) While I don't know if our local vets offer the Underwater Treadmill enjoyed by one of your patients here, I may make a point of asking this time. It seems that it'd be a great thing to help him. Thank you for posting this! I hope your business has been and continues to be successful!!!

@@Bad888Max Thank you for asking after all this time! He's doing wonderfully. As we thought would happen, his other CCL ruptured the next year, and the same surgery was done again... Yeah. Pretty tough for a while, but we got through it. I think he's almost nine now... he's such a sweet boy and we love him so

@@EazyCheeze thats lovely to hear. any side effects how long did it take to recover - few months?. does weight reduction also helps?
@EazyCheeze3 жыл бұрын
@@Bad888Max Well, after awhile... maybe two, three months, we couldn't tell really anything had happened. He had to go in a cage with the Cone of Shame on both times, and he didn't like that, but he was okay with watching kids' shows/cartoons on TV all day. He really liked those, and still does! :) As to weight reduction, it's hard to say. I, along with Mom, do my part to walk him every day and make sure he stays active and doesn't eat too much, but he still averages maybe 75 pounds at the vet, when he needs to be maybe 10-15 pounds lighter. It's really tough, but we try our best.
