@@andrewcolemaniii4589 They're expensive to maintain. Disney had a similar problem when I went but there's an emergency shut down and people behind the scenes. The ride will shut down, possibly shut off, remind kids, parents, well everyone to be seated, not to get out the ride...etc. Found out it's common as well. Some stuff would also close (few hours) for a cool down for the animatronics. I can't tell you how many times Splash Mountain stopped (looked the name up btw). The lights would dim, animatronic's may still be singing, sometimes they stop it altogether and put it back. Happened a few times. I went with my extended family and we didn't go back on either. (to a lot of kids disappointment, the lights going off kinda scared them, and the boat stopping did as well)
