I’ve had the play for two months and it’s exactly like my jrl onyx, exactly. The only difference is the body. I will say I like the ergonomics on the play more.

Comments like this is the reason I went with the Play. It's funny cause I was sold on the onyx. I decided to give these a little more research and everyone was saying the same thubg. I'm a brand new barber. Cut my kids hair for the first time with some andis but a few weeks ago. Can't wait to try these this weekend.

@BRIANNOIR.3 I'm a new barber. Only vut .y kids hair a few times. So I can't compare and contrast. But I will say. Vs the andis envy that I was using, the TPOB are LEVELS above. They cut very good without being zero gapped... I can see my skills improving with them as well. Definitely a buy and I'm happy I didn't with some super expensive clippers

I gotta give credit where its due the clipper slaps I've just received my storm trooper/panda one that being said I've only done a few cuts with it. It's power is the same as the jrl onyx and the fading with it is very similar to a sc instinct so far it's an insane clipper but with how busy the shop is only time will tell

Yeah it looks nice and well made! With the dual speed and hidden lever notches this would be a good choice for someone who wants a JRL but didn't like the ergonomics of it. I would say it's probably comparable to their new Onyx clipper. They both have a 5 hour run time as well.

I’ve used it and I still prefer the gold Fx one it’s just fun to cut up with but the play is dope found it easy to free hand with and cuts good just don’t like the guards or blade
