To this day the biggest crowd ever to watch a football game in the city of New Orleans. Saints games Sugar Bowls and Super Bowls included.

I thought the Super bowl between the Vikings and Steelers was the last game there.

Tulane's final game on campus came 364 days later, a 26-10 loss to Ole Miss on a miserably cold afternoon November 30, 1974. One month later, Nebraska won the final college game in the stadium, defeating Florida 13-10 in the Sugar Bowl on December 31. January 12, 1975 was the last pro game there SuperBowl you mentioned. There was a High School game played after that. The last game played in the stadium was a game between New Orleans Catholic League rivals De La Salle High School, located less than two miles (3 km) from the Tulane campus, and Archbishop Rummel High School on November 1, 1979. The last point scored in Tulane Stadium History was by Rummel High place kicker Gary Boudreaux.😊

86000 in an 81000 seat stadium, was there at age ten, followed the wave that year led by Steve Foley, LSU would not exceed a higher home game attendance until 2000.

Wrong year. That was in 1972. This game was in 1973 and it was Tulane that lost the Bluebonnet Bowl to Houston exactly 4 weeks later.
