Being a fan of both Kirk and Ben, it was tough to see and feel the pain Kirk was experiencing. And it was a great addition to the show. I was reminded of past pet friends gone but remembered for the absolute joy they brought me and others and I was thankful for the pleasure this story brought to what is normally a great program leading up to the fun of a day of college football. Sadly, we couldn't simply have this time and it's joy without McAfee leading the crowd in an unforgivable, lewd chant that should never be a part of any activity, much less one with families and children. And he repeated the offense. We should not have to put up with that in order to see an otherwise good show. More importantly, Love and warmest wishes to Kirk and his family.

Man I love Saban, I hate bama, love Saban. He's a man's man in today's world. Old values, He's knows what money and college football now is doing to this boys, and also their families. I watch College Gameday since I cannot remember when lol must be my old age over 50 lol My daughter and son love football and started watching it just to try and see Ben Having a miniature poodle who is turning 4 today abd also has health issues, this really hit home for me and I cried for Ben and Kirk and his whole family. Ben has not only touched a nation, he has touched a world over and he has taught this old man that there are more important things in the world than who wins or who loses and more important things than sports like family and yes dogs are family, all they want is to be with you no matter if you ate happy or sad, all they want is to be next to you and comfort you and give you all their love. We humans should learn from them and if we were just 50% like them, half the worlds issues and problems would be gone as we would see what truly is important in life. God you just got received another one of your beautiful creations, please keep Ben safe. RIP Ben and thank you for adding to this old man's life and thank you Kirk also.

LSU fan here. Losing Saban ultimately added to the Bama rivalry. Those first ten years were bitter, though. In time, the respect and admiration for what he created at Bama overcame the bitterness. He reminded me of Skip Bertman . What Skip accomplished at LSU in baseball was amazing. Skip was not only good for LSU. He was good for the SEC and the sport overall. A rising tide lifts all boats. Skip always talked about, "the system " Saban always talked about " the process " . Both were men of great vision.
