That's by far the best sounding old shovelhead I've heard in a long long time. It's also the cleanest!

Love all the AMF era tank graphics. 5 speed transmission was first introduced in 1980 on the rubber mounted FLT Tour Glide chassis.

Hi Vincent, I am the world's best detailer, however, I may have to pass my crown to you. Beutiful job with that classic. I have a 98 electra glide I purchased used with 152000 miles. I detailed that for days. I now love these bagger bikes. I cant own one like yours because I don't have the mechanical skills to take care of it, so I enjoy looking at your immaculate bike.🙂

That's a sweet sounding motor. I'd have this all day long over my Twin Cam.

I had a girlfriend in 77 who’s brother had the exact bike. It made my 75 Sportster look like a mini bike. I often wonder if he still has it. Looking at your bike brought back some good memories.

These machines are awesome. I have a 1985 Electra glide almost original besides the paint n some chrome stuff. It do wonders.

I had a 1975FLHP. That is one sweet looking machine 🖖🏼👍🏼😎 Yeah I remember the alarm I think my bike came with it or the previous owner gave it to me I got my bike from a woman and she would ride her husband around. Mine had a Bendix carburetor I always liked it when I was really really cold out it would get frost , on it cause some problems but other than that Bendix made good carburetors

We have very different ideas of what is "all original" - so apart from the seat, levers, blue dots, oil cooler, cruiser pegs, extra lights, ignition.....still lovely though. Wouldn't call Cycle Guard alarm "foolproof", they mostly shook to bits, got quieter and quieter and could be killed by squirting stuff through the vents - Harley only fitted them for a couple of years I recall. Something doesn't sound quite right with the engine, that whine worries me, maybe it is the recording device creating it but I'd get a proven expert to ride her. As nice as that tank design is I do prefer the 1973 "zebra crossing" design, especially a black tank with the red, white and blue bars.

Meant to Bill. but ran out of camera battery. Short version: bike ran great, not as much vibration as you might expect. Stock 74 inch motor with a mild cam will tool around at 70 all day but it’s a wee bit of a lazy dog upstairs.

@@vincentlawler3033 not enough passing power? Top gear roll-on needs a little help perhaps. Looked like a smooth ride and rock-steady.
