I put this on my cub cadet. I just want to say that not only is it a game changer but the company is great. They offer spacers for my mower and I ordered 4 instead of 8. They have since shipped me an extra 4 at no cost. Well worth the investment on mowers and a great company.

Great video, thanks for the help with this install. I got mine direct from TracSeat and they came with polymer spacers so you don't have to use several washers. Dont get me wrong I still had to use washers here and there. Best addition to my zero turn. I put it off way too long. Glad I tackled it. Thanks again for the video, i actually have the exact same mower. So it helped a lot with fabricating the metal brackets for the seat bolts and extended the seat kill switch wires by about 9"'s. And YES, have a buddy or somewhere there to help you with the final install after dry fitting it all. It will keep your sanity from chasing bolts and washers.

eXmark wanted $500 too. You might think a $6000 mower would come with a nice seat already. Bought the kit from Trac seats and had to drill some holes. Total job time was about an hour and a half. Made a tool of a chopstick where I removed some at the thick end to create shoulders. It then set in place on the back of the seat switch plug and allowed me to install the plug as the final step. After pushing it in and hearing it click, I could just pull the chop stick back out. Well worth the time and money.

All these lawnmower builders are putting together cheap junk now,! You are right man the money you pay for these mowers now days is a real shameful, I paid 6000$ for AHUSVARNA, RUNG OFF BOLTS MISSING BOLTS, no suspension seat! Went and bought on and installed it,makes a big difference!

Good video thanks. Used your instructions to install on my 2018 Gravely HD yesterday. I used the 13 washers as suggested, I used galvanized. The 1.5" bolts were too short, ended up using 2.5", 5/16th". I stacked the washers then wrapped the outside in black duct tape to keep them together. Need to remember, I didn't, you must plug-in seat switch before installing to seat because there is no room once attached. Did not need the offset plate, my holes lined up perfectly, sort of. It was because on inspection my wooden seat base was completely rotted so I had to fabricate a new one. I decided to make it match the kit and a speedy (ha-ha) 7 hours later and two trips to Home Depot it's good to go. The ride difference is shocking. Getting so much relief from jarring with only 1 inch of travel makes no sense but i'll take it.

Thanks for the great suggestions on how to make it fit to a Graverly. I have an Aries Apex and followed your approach and the suspension went on ok. I found it easy to install by putting the suspension on the frame first starting at the rear where the large opening allowed me to install the rear nuts and washers on the suspension system first then dropping it in to the platform and tightening them. Then tilted it up and put the front ones on. Followed this with the seat install. A couple of changes I did was added additional seat disconnect wires. Then ran the wires through the suspension mechanism while installing the seat. I also taped the washers together before installing which also helped. And what a difference in ride. I just bought the kit. For the Ariens version of that same mower the kit came with the tracks, that does a way with the washers, and the adapters for the seat, that does away with that adapter you made. It was a little more expensive than just the suspension without the tracks and adapters, like the one you got, but well worth it in my opinion. I agree, the instructions aren't that great, but there is a video that explains it pretty well. I just read a comment from tracseats that tells about the kit I got. I guess it wasn't available when you bought yours.

Thanks for the video! I purchased a Trac Seat for my Ariens Ikon X (Gravely) last week upon seeing someone else do the same thing, although with FAR less detail. I ordered some rubber spacers and should get them next week. Unfortunately I need to wait until next month for the trac seat to arrive lol.

They also sell complete seats with suspension included. It has 3 inches of travel, instead of 1 inch that this kit has. They cost around $500, but are very nice.

Thanks. Right now they are about the same price as the cheapest suspension tractor seats (which I'd have to disable the safety switch somehow to use). Will give it a go.

@@mist4926 I just installed one on my mzt 61 today and it fit perfectly with no modifications (other than permanently pressing the safety switch, I didn't want to raise the seat anymore.)

Will definitely help. The factory suspension seats from gravely are better but much more expensive. This is money well spent.

Thick rubber spacers do the job well and add extra suspension benefit. The washers look tacky and cheap.

I'm in the gravely camp and have been eyeing this suspension kit. I'm thinking about ordering some sliding rails and drilling new holes in the seat pan for everything to line up. did you look into these options by any chance? thxs for sharing the vid.

I didn’t look into those just simply because I’m a very impatient person and wanted this seat on without having to wait for any additional parts haha I fixed it up with the stuff I had laying around my shop. I’m sure with a little elbow grease your way will work also!

Gotcha. I think I'm going the route of drilling some holes in the seat and adding some seat rails. Looks like it should work from what I've looked at. Anyway, thanks for posting the vid. Always good to see different ways of doing these things.

Can't feel a difference? Play with the adjustments for your weight and try again. I took this one off when I sold it and installed it on my mom's mower and she loves it.

Mine didn’t have the tracks. It had a sliding seat but a very simple slider without guided tracks.

I don’t have a dealer close enough to feel comfortable getting a toro. I have test driven one and I must say it’s nice. I’ve since upgraded from this mower to a much more comfortable riding mower.

One minor setback with the Toro system. When you pull the seat off the existing mower, it requires driving a whole new machine in underneath.

I will say honestly, the suspension good. The seat itself is garbage. I have same mower. Armrests literally are screwed in to something like cardboard. Mine broke loose in a year. I just got a suspension seat from lube suppliers. Has much more travel with better made seat

Just spent 4 hours trying to install the trac seat especially for my Arien’s Icon XD. No directions. Parts are not drilled correctly This is a joke. Tried watching I tube video several times even that didn’t help. Sad thing is this one supposedly for the icon is more money but supposed to fit perfect. Total BS. Tried to contact no luck. Very expensive mistake! Very upset.
