This correction to the Trac Seats suspension installation on my Cub Cadet is of vital importance for full range of motion. So you get that air ride suspension feeling! Oh so nice!

Man! I’m glad they told me! It really is like an air ride seat now. It was good before but it was bottoming out. Now it is awesome.
So if you don’t have sliding rails under your seat that you can mount your Trac Seats suspension to, you will need this information. This will enable the full range of motion from the Trac Seats suspension kit and give you a most wonderful ride. No more painful jolts while riding your mower across rough terrain.
I love this Mod to my Cub Cadet ZT1 zero turn. Finally no more Cub Cadet back pain!

Great video thanks for the up close look. Im about to install this on a Toro zx6000 without the rails as well. I get why the need for the bottom spacers but why the top? Could you not bolt the trac seat directly to your seat? Trying to avoid the extra height as Im 6’1” and have the tiller bars already at max height without the suspension. Again, great detailed video so thanks! Really helpful *****just watched your other video, makes sense now*****

Yeah, it needs room for the springs. I made the mistake of not using them at first and definitely needed the spacers. I like the extra height as I am 6’3” but the bars are a little tight now. Thanks for the feedback!

Where did you get the springs? I think mine just like the plate sits on like those plastic impact dampers. I bet the springs sitting on them dampers make a big difference

Cool brotha now the suspension seat won’t bottom out I installed the trac seat 💺 on my Ultima ZT2 i didn’t need the spacers because of my sliding rail it’s already elevated about 1 inch now you’re really gonna enjoy the suspension💺 enjoy the ride while mowing 🫡🎯

So the 1-inch suspension gives you enough cushion, or are the spacers made of a urethane or something that's also compliant to soften the ride? Trying to decide between this and the whole seat that gives 3 in of suspension

It is a fantastic ride after I was told to put spacers under the suspension AND the under the seat. It has done wonders for my back. I haven’t tried the whole seat so unfortunately I cannot speak to which is better but I can say I am very happy with the suspension kit.

Well, honestly I disabled mine and did not hook it back up. I did not want to show that on the video as it is not recommended. I was thinking of maybe a trailer light kit would work with some butt splice connectors and heat shrink tubing. You can get all at either Amazon or Harbor Freight. I don’t think Cub Cadet has an extension for it. Let us know what you use and how you like the suspension kit.

@hackthehoneydolist I will be wiring with a 16ga 4-wire trailer set. I'll use the shrink wrap and the same wire tubing that is already on it. I can't find the same color pattern, but that's ok it will be covered anyway.

@@hackthehoneydolist i made the same mistake and didn't put any spacers. i just mounted it directly to the plate and honestly thought I got ripped off because I could not feel any difference. after watching this I ordered some new spacers and we'll see if there's any difference.

The spacers between the seat and the Trac are to give more room for the seat safety. There is nothing that it will do to improve ride quality and only adds unecessary height if not needed to clear the seat safety.

Yes I believe that is true. I am also tall and like the extra height. The reason I used them was for the seat safety and I did not know the spacers underneath were for clearance at the time I made the original video, so I made this video where I put the spacers under the suspension kit for the required clearance for full travel of the suspension kit.

Not sure if that's really true. At the 6:04 mark you can see the seat suspension have more room to move right where he had the paint rubbing. Does seem a bit odd that it wouldn't just come with those spacers though if they're actually needed.
