I've been called tough because I've defeated breast cancer twice and bladder cancer too. Tough people have a circle of friends and family around them, blessed people offering support and caring. You bet I'm tough - because I'm determined and that comes from knowing I have all these blessed folks to fall back on if I need to. Conne in Wichita

In 2007 my wife and I lost four children, our world ended and we both felt like giving up. At the same time the economical crisis hit us hard and we forced to move out of four bedroom house and into a small two bedroom trailer with our two daughters. We had a son there as well. I can tell you now, we survived, and we are stronger. I raised tough kids and love a tough wife. He's right when he say, "some way or another, we'll get through".... (I even have video proof on my channel). Stayin Tuff.

Trace Adkins" tough people do" thank you it feels nice to be appreciated I remember my mother coming in the back door with bloody hands my sister would clean her up and tape her hands back up and she's go back out the door and leave she was working in the fields to feed her children when I got older I helped put food on the table ,when I got on my own there's a few things I truly understood bloody hands and my mom laying in bed every night crying and pride you know I was ask once ,if I could change my past to a better way of living would I ? Well the answer to that is simple ....NO ,I rather get stinkin azz dirty and have blood on my hands and to know who I am and remember where I came from and pride, I am a seed of very wise and tough women that stand strong today and my daughter and her daughter will as well we don't give up nor walk away from what we believe in or the man we truly Love My Grand mother who lived to be 104 years of age( Francis) had always told us The Lord isn't gonna hand you somethin you can't handle .I just wanted to share that with y'all it's a true story .

Lila Stevenson I also have tough genes. Or I would have never been alive at sixty. I’ve supported two boys on my own. It’s been hard but damn worth every bit of the pain I went through and I’m going through now. I love my children they know how to earn a living the hard way. God bless them abundantly when I have come home to you and all of my family. Keep me strong until that time lord. Amen

This is the first time I've heard this song ... and I am going to dedicate it to a woman I know. She's a 93-year-old woman who lives in the retirement home where I work. She was born in Ukraine, and only came to the USA 40 years ago. I recalled my history, and did the math, and ... HOLY CRAP THIS WOMAN SURVIVED JOSEF STALIN! I speak to her nearly every day, and she's one of the happiest people I know. Indeed, "Tough times don't last; tough people do."

My momma raised four while my Daddy did 20 and 2 days .We came back from Germany , my Daddy looks at me and my brother . And says you boys like to eat ? You will work the field and raise them animules and help process em . I can remember catching up 500 hogs to take to the sale by myself . Two and a half hours later had em all caught up in pens by weight . But I ran one to death I thought the razor strap was about to come out . But he was amazed I had em caught up that fast dodged that strap . I had every school in the area wanting me to come play football . Momma didn't raise no sissy's I can remember telling my Dad that hen is a crowing . He knew no hen crows that I wanted some fried chicken baby 😁 Boy you better catch that n up ring it's neck . I'd bring it in the house fer momma to fry it up . She'd say it ain't Sunday , my reply I know but this hen was crowing . Can't have no cross dressers in the yard 😁 I got my fried chicken ! Country boi can survive .

My Great-grandfather was an US Army medical tech who spent his entire service in England during the war, leaving behind his wife of 14 years (my great-grandmother) and 3 children. While in England he met a girl who was 15 years old (he was 35), and when the war ended he brought her back the US and married her after divorcing my great-grandmother, which I was told put the family in a hard place which took several years to get out of. My great-grandmother later went to college and became a teacher and she graduated and I can't imagine that it was easy to go to class, raise 3 kids, and keep the family housed and fed. All 3 of the kids later went to college and graduated. My great-grandmother died in 2000 at the age of 91.
