Ive worked as a nanny for the last 20 years, most of which was caring for babies. I had a ton of the babies enjoying swinging. I don't know if you have any tree limbs low enough but swings to tie to tree limbs are quite inexpensive. Also I've had success using a pack and play outside. That worked especially when ive also been caring for older kids or trying to get projects done outside

Couldn’t help but laugh when Lydia was subscribing Rikers swimwear for next week. Ppl act like boys don’t have nice clothes or a lot of options but Lydia has managed to do a good job styling him. He’s like a little doll baby and mama is having fun dressing him lol

hang like a little tykes swing on a branch. When he gets older get him like a small sandbox with a lid, a little playhouse for littles. My son loved it.

The mulch looks good. Splash pads are good for the summer. Swings are always a good idea like someone else mentioned but even if you take him outside in his house swing. It’s all about getting fresh air. They have these cute pop up beach shelters that you can use to keep the direct sun off of Ryker.

when i had my kiddo outside, i used a pack and play with a fitted crib sheet overtop. the sheet keeps the sun and bugs out. you can do work and he can have fresh air. he can also roam around inside, and look around at the world. we used this method around the campfire as well as in the tent, for camping

Wow. Great idea putting the crates on a frame so that they are off the floor and not stacked on top of each other. I'm going to have to adopt that idea. Shed looks nice and neat now!

Spread a blanket on the ground and let him play. Put sunscreen on him always and just let him have fun. You can bring his swing or high chair out and let him play too. Build one on the other side for more bins as you have baby stuff and other items. Then store the bikes and such in the middle.

You can sit him on a blanket to play or in playpen. That's what I did with mine. Even I a playpen at the back door with it open while you clean in the kitchen or do laundry.

Im a mom from 2003 2005 & honestly a blanket & some toys. Lay a blanket down with some toys he plays with outside & just enjoy the sunny days in your yard space change it up front side back & when he is mobile you can get a gate thats in a circle its a little taller then a 2yr old i forget who makes it but its like 6 panel’s or 8 panel accordion style plastic gate & makes a great baby circle gate & when straight out could close off sections you don’t want him in! I want to say graco makes it but i took it camping on a tarp & let my daughters play & it was awesome! So I could sit in there & they could still be independent! But mommy or daddy was there. That was the best thing i purchased as a momma! My girls were wild like boys so they did enjoy it so much!! Theres all kinds of things to do in that area you can garden while he plays, cause it gives him a sense of independence with controlled space. Its a grey color gate play area. I had a special bag of toys (diaper bag size) that i only had for times outside the house! We thought we would have more & i found it on our oldest 17th bday & was able to use it for my nephew & great niece & nephews when they came over so i mixed it in the toy box. Watching kids imagine is so fun! Hope this helps someone looking for a good idea! We used it on the front of a house boat so no one feel off the front! Lol😊

I but our little guy in a playpen or the baby standing center. You can put both under a tree of a pop up canopy. They even have enclosed outdoor playpens to keep the bugs off them.

Glad you guys have such a good work ethic and team effort mentality and love to clean and organize. But I hate when neat people say something is “messy” bc a few things are out of place 🥴 I’m married to a Mr unorganized. He can’t see or organize clutter. He pokes things on top of likes till he’s fit a mountain of meaningless items to sift through then takes hours to declutter bc he has to look at every single item to make a decision, which usually means making a new like and stuffing things here and there. The idea of making shelf organizers etc would never occur to my man. You are truly blessed with a gift.

Just spread out a blanket on the lawn if he can sit up and put some toys he can play with. You can blow bubbles or read to him. He likes it when you read to him. Just quality time in the sun.❤

Put Ryker in a walker make it where he can't move it he can stand in it an play and you can move it to shade. The birds you are hearing are Carolina Werns and Northern Cardinals

When I'd hang wash outside to dry, I'd put my little ones into an extra laundry basket with a few toys. The sides help them sit up safely and playing toys while watching me hang wash kept their interest. Birds and squirrel activity kept their interest as well.

I used to love to put a big quilt on the ground and play with my babies outside in the sunshine. We would have their little snacks, a few toys, and sometimes read a story book.

An outdoor play yard would be nice where he could crawl around and play with his toys outside safely. I would put some kind of bottom with a quilt or something instead of putting a baby that young on the grass. You would be able to do things around the yard while able to watch him and keep him safe without having to carry him all the time. And as someone else suggested an outside baby swing in the tree. a baby pool this summer would be fun for him as much as he loves to splash and maybe one of the little baby rocking horses that has the baby seat while he's little but grows with him as he gets older and transforms into a ride on as well as a regular rocking horse.

Lydia you could put him in a portable playpen with toys while you can do gardening or helping Trace do things outdoors. Or you can also put a blanket out on grass and sit with him and play with him.

You can have blanket time and do anything you do indoors, outdoors... bring the swing out or bring the highchair out. Allow them to sit in the yard and feel the grass with hands and feet (the reaction on their feet is usually pretty funny). 😊

Get a baby swing set up on that tree in your front yard. Carlin and Evan had a great one for Layla. Also walk or drive to parks and swing/have picnics on a blanket etc. those are my favorite baby outdoor things.

I loved going outside with my first born. I got a small round fence, put a blanket down with some toys, and let him play in it. We did picnics or we would do yard work will he played in it. I used it some with my daughter as well while my first born played with his wagon in the yard. Great job, Trace with the organization!

You should get a pack and play you can put outside with you with a screen top or even just a blanket or cover you can put over the top then Ryker can nap outside in the fresh air while you work or are outside

Put a baby swing in the tree, put him on a blanket outside, babies love the sights and sounds. Take a baby walker outside and put him in the walker. They love feeling their toes in the grass. You can set him in a bumbo at the splash pad, beach, outdoors. That way he is supported but able to play and enjoy. Bike rides, put a baby seat on your bicycle. Baby pool, literally an inch or two of water he will kick and play. Picnics on a blanket. We purchased a kiddie pool and took to the beach w us. We placed the pool under the umbrella and got a few buckets of ocean water to play in. Also, dollar tree shower liners are great to place under your towel on the beach so that water doesn’t seep through

What an outstanding job on the shed. Bravo! If you're so inclined you can hang your bikes off the ceiling. My brother-in-law just put these yellow hooks in the ceiling I think he had a piece of wood up there and it just screws in and just put them upside down and he had a lot of bikes cuz they were blessed with a lot of children. For me I had a smaller shed I snacked everything in there but as for my lawn stuff I just put there's a strip you can use with all these hooks for the various yard rakes hoes everything. It helps. Lydia, I'm still amazed at the color scheme for Ryker's car and Trace extras. Ryker is ready for any adventure. Happy Holy Week!
