Shad! Need we say more? Probably the most targeted specie from the South African coastline. With teeth like a piranha and a ferocious attitude, they're exciting to catch and even more delicious to eat. You can buy a Kingfisher Shad Trace fresh off the shelf or you can watch this video and make you own traces. Each item can be found at any one of The Kingfisher Stores or your nearest leading tackle store.
There are many different ways to catch a shad and as many traces to use. Ray Thompson will demonstrate in a series of Shad Trace videos how to tie a few different trace options.

🎣 Simply put a Sliding hook on One steel wire hooked trace,! Not necessary for two wire hook traces,! 🙂 🎣

You should use number 15 steel wire , you can use the same trace for hundreds of shad, thin wire links to easy

Stainless steel electric fence wire, one trace for ever till the hooks rust off. Shad dont care if they see the wire they will still go for it.
