Its based on experimentation, paint type, and how much you're using in your bottle. Usually best way to make it work is 3/4 parts paint, 1/4 parts water Sometimes its more water, sometimes its more paint. Its all thru experimentation

If you don't mind boosting or "borrowing" from stores, I recommend a paint called "Golden high flow" acrylic paint from "Michaels". Highly opaque

use Alcohol based colors, not water based

the key is to thin down the bucket paint (water based) to the right thickness, and also ALWAYS screen/sift the paint (don't know if thats the right word for it, but i hope you get it), also keep the sprinkler always clean, clean it with warm water every single time when you get home after bombing :)
