Totally agree, very few things provoke the feeling I get with this song. One of total peace and grief at the same time. I’ve only just found this song after hearing it at the closing credits of the movie “All is bright / Almost Christmas” This song has managed to create an almost nostalgic feeling within me even thought it doesn’t tie to my own past at all, amazing. When my holiday blues set in, I turn on the album Tinsel & Lights by Tracey Thorn. It helps me cope with the holidays, and will usually have it on repeat a couple of times. All other Christmas music and movies get ignored. This past weekend, my holiday blues arrived in and yesterday, Tinsel and Lights was played on repeat at work, and will probably be that way until Christmas. I love how she uses the original lyrics for "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas", and the original songs, Joy and Tinsel and Lights.
