The best thing about Net10 IMO is the unlimited 2g data after your high speed data runs out. This means you can still send/receive MMS, emails, etc.

As a former long time Tracfone user, I’m glad to see they finally added some unlimited talk and text plans. I switched to Total Wireless 2 years ago because of them not having any unlimited talk or text plans then the data being so expensive. But I found the data on Tracfone was a little more reliable than Total Wireless. So I may switch back eventually.

I like the plans, but I hope they continue to offer the plans for people with modest needs. The elimination of triple minutes and removing the $50 for 365 service days (for BYOP) were disappointing. And yes I can see how it would be worth switching back. I could see myself using one of these plans. Although after 1 year plus of having Wi-Fi calling, Visual Voicemail,. and hotspot i'd miss these features.
@crazyfun51505 жыл бұрын
smartphonematters yeah I left because the plans were too expensive for the minutes, texts and data I was using. These new plans are a lot better but still unsure if I just want to go with a contract phone or not. The service at times on Total Wireless is spotty. And not sure if Tracfone is similar since both are Tracfone brands. But used both for years and both are pretty decent services.

Tracfone was my very first cell phone a long time ago. And for what it's designed to be, the roll over minutes seem to have a huge benefit for end users. Of course data is something neither one of us can live without nowadays. So the more, the merrier

The $20 and $25 is very competitive in the prepaid market. I like this At&t prepaid plan I'm using. I'll be dropping my 1 week later video today. But if all I had was $30+. Ill go with TracFone. I use to love it with the feature phones back in the day. I can buy their cards from family Dollar and dollar general here in my area if I didn't want to pay online. Lol 😂

Cool. I like AT&T too. Going to have to do more comparisons with the Verizon prepaid I'm currently on. I think those prepaid cards available in every store made Tracfone a juggernaut of the industry.

@@Smartphonematters lol 😂 At&t has them as well. I think even when At&t GoPhone was around it was them and TracFone doing the most. I remember my mother use to get me go to the store and buy her minutes on her GoPhone. We use to have all At&t in the house. Lol 😂 smh

On the $20 plan do you get unlimited 2G speeds when finishing your 1Gb of data or they cut you completely i need at least unlimited 2G speeds to check my email or go on the internet at a slow speeds im so used to it so it won't bother me i also dont have WiFi i cut that off because of the economy I can't afford to have unlimited data kr wi-fi so a $20 plan would fit my budget. I wish i had it like that unfortunately no. I also appreciate the help. Thanks!

For Tracfone user, can I switch plans?... let's say I purchased a 30-day(3gb) plan and once that near expiration day comes, can I switch to a 90-day plan and still have that remaining data(if any) to carry over? thanks
@Smartphonematters3 жыл бұрын
Tracfone's fixed minutes, fixed texts, and data roll over as long as your service is active. You can add whatever plan you want, you just need to have service days to retain your balance.

I use Tracfone. I checked my usage and it showed I have 260 minutes left. Did Tracfone take my unused minutes away? I paid for 400 minutes. On my old phone a long time ago the less you use the phone the minutes add up.

As long as Tracfone doesn't remove their fixed minutes options, this is a good thing. The monthly plans are more expensive.

I'm a little confused on this comment from below: " I'm not sure what you were expecting, did you think you would add one unlimited plan for $20 or $30 and never have to pay for minutes and texts again?.".. My thought was to pay for a $20. unlimited talk and text and yes, not have to add separate talk and text minutes as long as I keep this plan active using my credit card. I thought that was what the unlimited talk and text meant: you pay $20 each month and no additional purchase unless you need more than 1 GB data. The 1 GB data left over carries over into the next month, PLUS with the new month and the new charge of $20 another 1 GB would be added. Are you saying even with the $20 plan you still have to buy talk and text in addition to the auto fill?? thanks...
@Smartphonematters4 жыл бұрын
It works as you expect. It's a $20 monthly plan with unlimited talk and text and 1 Gb of data. You need to renew every month. The other commenter though he could add unlimited talk and text for the number of service days he had on his account. So for example if it had a year of service days, he though he would get unlimited talk and text for the entire year for $20.

@@Smartphonematters oh... got it. thank you so much for the explanation. When my current auto fill plan is renewed in March I will be switching to this plan. I've been a tracfone customer over 15 years now and it's the best cell phone for my needs. Thank you again !

Their one year unlimited plans have unlimited talk, text claims picture messaging, plus 12gb of data, ? Rollover, need to know phone bought thru home shopping network a20 with bundle includes 1 year of service plus 1500 of talk, and 1500 text plus 1gb of data, then with to tracfone to purchase one year of service plus unlimited texts, unlimited talk, plus 12gb of data, with my netspend debit card again chatted with a bot no decent answers on how long will data lasts if use cellular device 8 hours a day? ?? Tracfone service talk text works no picture messaging, no data 25gb bytes gone not even a year all purchased in the month of may 2021. Wasted my stimulus relax payment.

!!!The unlimited text and call ONLY LASTS FOR THE 30 DAYS THAT COME WITH THE CARD!!! Do not buy!!! I have a whole year of days but when you buy the limited it gives you a new temporary plan that lasts thirty days, then will auto switch back to the old plan you had!!! Glad my iPhone is unlocked so I can switch carriers, this just is not good business!

I think you missed the point. Tracfone offers both plans with a fixed amount of minutes and unlimited minutes. The minutes on the fixed minutes plans will roll over for the number of services days you have on your phone. add more services days and the minutes will continually roll over. Fixed minutes plans are good for people who do not talk on the phone too often. Tracfone has now added unlimited plans. With these plans you get unlimited talk and text for 30 days and the data rolls over. These plans are good for people that talk on the phone a lot. Choose the type of plan that is best for you. I'm not sure what you were expecting, did you think you would add one unlimited plan for $20 or $30 and never have to pay for minutes and texts again? You should be able to switch back to the classic plans with fixed minutes if you want.

smartphonematters I was thinking this would make my phone able to have unlimited talk and text till my original service days end, not set up a new 30 day plan that gives unlimited text and talk for only those 30 days, every other tracphone card adds on to my current plan, but this only creates a new 30 day plan with unlimited talk and text, if you want I can remove my comment, I wasn’t knocking your video, just bummed at tracPhone.

@@MattChristianPilgrim These comments helped me. I am newer to tracfone and was wondering the same thing. My days don't expire till Feb. of 2022. I was wondering how it would work if I purchased the unlimited plans. This thread cleared it up as I don't talk or text much so I will just by the regular $15 plan that will roll over any unused minutes and text each month as long as have days left. Thanks
