I saw that interview with Toni and Tameron asked how are they gonna be there for Traci's son and grandson and Toni replied that Traci was close to her son and grandson and her son's wife and that they're all a big family and Traci had a lot of love around her. Her response was telling. I'm not surprised. On the show the Braxtons didn't like Traci's husband and I think I remember an episode where Traci's son had a christening for his son and the sisters weren't invited. The situation is sad. Funerals are always for the living and not the dead. Honor people while they're above ground you don't have to fight over them once they're below it.

You all cannot be this naive. The man want to make a profit out of his own damn wife’s funeral, that is disgusting. And to proof the sisters are right, she got cremated.

@Tammy What point are you trying to make? I’m a little confused. Seriously.
@livenowliveright85092 жыл бұрын
@Tammy Yes, as a wife myself, my marriage isn’t my parents nor my in laws business. Now as a mother, your child will always be your child. I may not get into your marriage, but I surely will counsel you. No one wants Kevin or what they had, they just may not like each other and tolerated him because of their sister. That isn’t jealousy. That’s most families.

I remember before my dad died, he told my mom, "you handle all of the funeral arrangements and don't let no one push you around." Spouses know when they have a domineering family, there can potentially be interference from that family into the marital union. I say that to say, I would be hard-pressed to believe Traci didn't have a similar conversation with her husband. You cannot exploit a death; I wish everyone would stop with that phrase. The public loved Traci too and I think a spouse should be respected to make the decisions, while the parents and siblings silently offer a coordinating hand! Traci died one month exactly after my mom. I was shocked at the news of both.

Sorry for your loss. My Dad and Mom were divorced, and my Dad was unmarried, so me (I am the eldest), my sister, and brother were able to come together and make decisions during his hospital stay and after his passing. My Dad's younger siblings- My Dad was originally the 2nd oldest, but he had one sister, three brothers still living-----only one of my uncles(the eldest uncle) came to the funeral home for support, along with one of my Dad's good lady friends who helped pay for some items. We ended up cremating my Dad because he had no insurance of any kind, and it was nominal compared to a full out burial. I initially paid for the cremation; and with some lovely donations from some friends of mine and my Dad, we were able to take care of everything. We had a lovely memorial service at the church where my Dad was a founding Deacon, and all the family and many friends showed up. My hubby did the worlds of encouragement. It was sometime long after the services that my husband told me some of my Dad's siblings were not in agreement with the cremation. But, it never made it to my ears during the planning. I also have his ashes. They were all supportive when it was time to clean out his apartment, so I have no ill feelings about that time period at all.

You are right. A spouse comes first and has all legal rights. However, just because my siblings’ spouses have the power to make ALL the decisions doesn’t mean I have to go along with something I know has been expressed by my deceased sibling which goes against their wishes. And, siblings know siblings, so if I know I have controlling or stubborn siblings that think they know everything, I’ll specifically tell them what I want so there wouldn’t be any confusion. They were blessed with more than enough time to sort this mess out when Traci was alive. I feel for the husband and children, but the sisters bring up a good point: why wasn’t Traci’s father able to speak? She said it herself that out of ALL the sisters she’s the daddy’s girl. Why didn’t they at least invite him on stage to stand in support. See, something doesn’t add up. Traci was a people’s person but also a private person. Fans didn’t know she was even sick! She was cremated quickly which all tells me she didn’t want her sickness and death to draw attention or be analyzed by onlookers. I can respect the Braxton’s decision. If the husband were to have said to them that HE needed them to be there for him and his family because this is what they feel is needed for them to have closure then this would have been a different story, and I would have thought that the Braxton family should have given them that. But, instead, he’s saying this is what Traci would have wanted which conflicts with what her family was told.

@@mariahyohannes I doubt they would lie about that, but they may not have the latest information & she did not make them the executor of her estate. For the sake of peace, wouldn't any close family member want to be at her son's side during his mama's service?? That would be more important to me than beefing with his dad.

One thing my Dad always said when I was growing up, if you want to see a family tear apart, let somebody die. It has been proven over and over again.

This is an absolutely DISGUSTING situation. If te passing of a Loved one can't bring family together, nothing will. 💔 If Tracy made her wishes known to the funeral home, then that should have been it. I hate to say this, but one final to the beautiful Traci Braxton by her family. This is heartbreaking.
