**I like the subtle way you portrayed the main characters, in the song... as well as placing *them around the kitchen table. You kept it simple, portraying the various characters, subtly. 👏🏻👏🏻❤️‍🩹 Years ago I heard Bobbie Gentry somewhere explaining the song. If memory serves me right, she said that it didn't matter what was thrown off the bridge. She said her main purpose was to show the utter indifference of people, like her mother, to Billy Joe's suicide, talking casually about it around the table, as if it was no big deal. 😮‍💨 I like her voice, and the simple, guitar playing. *You portrayed the rather stifling, depressive mood, perfectly, I think. (2nd try) I had never heard this song, so l looked it up, as usual. It's about a family having dinner and talking about a young man who had jumped off a bridge as if it's just a casual thing. And that's what the song is meant to show : the indifference and lack of emotions. A sad song that l would not listen to normally. Expanding my horizons again!

Wow. Very evocative song. I agree with Rhonda that you portrayed the main characters very well. I must admit, my mind went to a plot twist. Like maybe the narrator pushed him off the bridge? Pretty sure I'm wrong about that though. Great video, thanks!
