We had good family friends who lived in the Scarva station house in the 1970s-1990s

At about 2 minutes, you've missed where the railway line crossed the Gilford Road out of Scarva by about 100 metres. The stone supports for the former railway bridge over the Scarva canal are clearly seen on Google Streetview. There are lots of pictures of the bridge supports on Google Maps, but mostly wrongly attributed to the 'Cusher River Aqueduct' - which is nearby.

Surprised, given the size of the Gilford mill, it wasn't included in this "loop."

The reopening of the Railway line would bring back the train service cut down on 1) Pollution, 2) Car Accidents/Road Deaths & 3) Pollution. Looking into St. Stephen's Day trains & 24 hour in Summertime.

The historic pic of the engine shed at Banbridge actually shows the goods shed at Ardglass....

The tracks did not run as far out as you have it for Lenaderg. The mapping software has it wrong amazingly. It ran right beside the old station building, crossed the road into the field and then pretty much in a straight line into Banbridge. You can see the course of the line in the field opposite Lenaderg Station on Goggle earth very clearly. I obtained OS maps of the line about 15 years ago and its pretty clear on its route beside the Huntley Road.

Thanks! That would explain it. I'll check on the PRONI map next time something like that comes up
