Everything you always wanted to know about your tracks (but were afraid to look at) ...
Dare now and learn in the first part of the series on track cleaning something about the properties and effects of track erasers.
The cleaning effect of erasers is based on the one hand on the adhesive properties of the material, but also on the abrasive properties of various admixtures. The abrasion cleans the surface of the eraser and smears are avoided or reduced. The effects on the surface of Märklin C track profiles and the central conductor are examined with a magnifying glass and microscope.
