Hey Shawn, just wanted to say thank you for making this video. I have a 2017 Street Triple RS in silver, like yours, that I bought this summer. I just contacted Triumph UK to see how much for the OEM frame sliders and fitting would be. Cost for the parts can't be avoided at £124... However Triumph UK wanted £80 or $105 for fitting... each bolt was gonna cost me £20 ROFL, outrageous right... I said not unless you buy me dinner. And that I would fit these myself. 20 second search on the old interwebz brought me to your video. So thank you for the help in advance. You saved me both £80 and my dignity hahaha...

I used a ratchet set similar to this to get to the nuts up in behind the casing. www.jegs.com/i/OEMTOOLS/693/22060/10002/-1?CAWELAID=230006180040255128&CAGPSPN=pla&CAAGID=

Thank you for the very informative installation videos. My only comment would be that the video cam on your head, although providing a view of what you are seeing, creates too much movement and it is hard to follow what you are doing, and also makes me kind of dizzy. Just a thought. Thanks again for doing the video. I am putting a set of OEM frame sliders on this weekend on my 2020 Street Triple and am using your video and the instructions to do the install.

Very clear vid Shawn v helpful. How was your RS on the track ? It has no steering damper (I think) I've had big problems on track on striples without dampers.

Hi Shawn, great video. What's the website link to download the instructions to fit street triple genuine accessories. As you would know, each accessory doesn't come with instructions

I tried searching for these again and had some trouble finding them. Your dealer should be able to print these for you.

Im not sure it was anti seize prob some lock tight, best to use is blue lock tight, doesn't lock to hard and it good for things like bikes that vibrate alot, get a torgue wrench, and 2s a year check everything is done up right, cause they don't do this at service etc
@TheDriversPerspective5 жыл бұрын
Perhaps, I'll add this to my check list. Thanks for the tip.

Great video! You mention that if its mot done in a speeder the engine can shift. My question is what is the order and how do I avoid the engine from shifting?

Just do one bolt at a time and you will be fine.

Not really, I'd recommend the tank guards if you are worried. R&G carbon comes to mind.

These don’t look like they’ll really protect anything in a slide. They don’t stick out far enough to protect anything. Am I not seeing something?🤷🏻♂️ Also, what’s an “oblong” nut?😄
@TheDriversPerspective4 жыл бұрын
They do stick out just past the gas tank but not much more than that. The oblong nut is just a lock nut.
