I have one I bought last year. It had 5 hours on it when I got it. The dealer had been using it to move their boats around. Originally, I was happy with it. I have 106 acres of hunting property I need one to get around on since I am disabled and can't walk far. It has always been hard to shift into gear and when I took it out to the property this year to get things set up for deer season, the thing wouldn't go into gear. The shift cable finally broke, I just happened to be at the trailer and used the wench to get it back on the trailer. The dealer said there had been a problem with the cables stretching. I have never heard of a cable stretching, just breaking. OK, they ordered another "improved" cable. When I picked it up, the thing still was hard to shift. Then I was told that the belt was cocked and the cable was hitting it and they would talk to the manufacturer about shimming something tp prevent it from doing that. It sounded to me they were fixing the symptom and not the problem. The next day, I took it back to the woods and the same damn thing happened, This time, I was told that there has been problems with the clutches. New cables and a clutch was ordered. The cable came, but not the clutch. I have spent thousands of dollars on my property to be able to hunt. Deer season opens here in the morning and I will NOT be able to go because my 800sx is not fixed. I wish I had purchased the Kawasaki I had been looking at rather than this POS! I live in Augusta, Ga. and wanted to support the "made in the USA" attitude and the fact that the electric Trackers are made here. I'm sure the dealer is tired of hearing from me. Don't even bother calling the tracker Support number. I was told that they are for the dealers. Just beware if anyone is considering getting one of these things, you may want to look at other brands.

I was actually considering getting a Tracker, but from this review, I'll go else where now. Especially when they replied to your comment, and they didn't have one thing to say about that cable problem, that's a red flag !!

I just bought mine and am very happy with it for the most part! However the one thing I can’t understand is why they didn’t make it where the engine will hold you back going downhill. I live in hill country and once you start down the other side it just freewheels. Very scary. Also they need to allow the purchase of maintenance items like oil, transaxle oil etc. online. Dealers aren’t stocking much of these items.

Have an 800 SX as well in shop for bad fuel injector module, in for a month now ,the machine is stable ,very solid built, parts are hard to get plus I'm not paying 50 dollar for a oil filter . Other than these,it's does exactly what I asked of it!

I have always been an Arctic Cat fan. My entire family legitimately owns one aswell. Since Textron has taken over I hate to admitt it but you guys fckn blow at inovating the machines for actual trails. For serious wheelin. My 1000 atv is a monster, my uncle has a 700 mud pro and they're top notch. Years ago Arctic big chassis ATVs and utvs were genuinely rewriting the entire rules of the game with mudpro, the first ever 1000, the wildcat then the wildcat xx. We are all happy you still build them to be as simple, reliable as mechanically possible, but come on. Look at the Yamaha Rmax 1000 guys, they legit manned up and took the market from you. It's the best machine made today. Most over built monster wheel bears balls joints solid steel diffs, fully boxed steel and arched a arms. 30" tires stock. Excellent cabin, best fit and finish and phenomenal ride and comfort. You guys legitimately have no answer, you have zero true inovation for those of us looking for a sport utility that's more capable than any other current machine. Start stepping it up while keeping pricing realistic and you'll actually start selling machines instead of people looking for bottom of the barrel cheapest option. Wild cat XX is an excellent machine, but that's your best machine and Textron had NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. You wanna talk like you're awesome and high quality manufacturing company then step it up. Make atleast a really high end sport utility machine with the best suspense, far over built frame and wheel bearing/ball joints with 30 or 31 tires stock. Hell make a 5 or 6 speed fully manual version you'd be the only one available short of yxz1000r. There's be a massive market for that type of machine. We really want simple, highly reliable machines that we can easily maintain with the best capability, a 4 seater like the Rmax4, obviously a 1000, with a fully manual trans option with 32" tires maximum stock. We all know you can easily do it so do it man come on. Your bosses that are stopping you because they're so tight penny pinching only to continue pocketing insane amounts of money. The entire lack of any excitement from a once top performing name is pathetic you're legitimately nothin more than a laughing stock at this point

@@TwoGuysandaRide I'm aware. My long winded comment is toward Textron and Textron only. You guys really do-do your job pretty dam good. Especially considering the highly saturated level of content you have to compete with. I hope Textron is able to comprehend the market much better, real quick. Most buyers are very predictable and simple, Polaris is the best example. Their machines are not very reliable, and Instead of huge leaps ahead as Arctic cat made, they take small baby steps with just enough each year as updates and fixes. Their money making machine has been pushed to the Max though as when your Polaris razor is legitimately trying to burst then burn you alive, there's very few people who will buy the same machine again

Considering the 800SX vs the Pioneer 1000. have 26 acres and what I hunt has trails that ascend in elevation to get to the 'good stuff'. These were originally cut 12 years ago for quads and there are rocky limestone areas. Will this guy hold up to rocky terrain? Is this something I would compensate for with really good tires? If the suspension fails, not sure how I would get it out of there. That's my concern.

The air box is poorly designed. Will not handle going through shallow water. Sorry to say, but if you promote this machine as off-road it should go through at least a foot deep creek. I had my motor replaced for $6000. I have since found a kit to seal the air box.
