Love that collection. I am going to be trying to get my collection together. Caleb Cox, Ed Martin, Bark River and Dave Wenger are the makers I’m trying to get. I’ve got the Beck and I’ve got a Linger. I hadn’t heard of the PacKniv ones yet so I’ll have to check them out. Thanks for that info. The PAC you have looks very knice

Hey Robert thanks for getting back. Is your fault that I want a Ed Martin now lol. My grail is a Beck. Looks like you have the hardest to get ones. Check out the Packniv. They are great in hand, I haven't tested yet. But in hand is above the others in fit and finish.

I’m surprised that you didn’t mention the Boker Tracker designed by Dave Wenger, they come in 3 sizes, Micro, Mini and regular. They’re really nice and worth the money. Hey your English is fine, I can understand you perfectly. You sure are lucky to have a beautiful collection of Trackers. I’m new to the design and have recently started testing it. I’m broke so the Boker Tracker is going to be my choice!

How do you feel about the Acta Non Verba P500?
@thecavemanknivesreview.8097 Жыл бұрын
Honestly I didn't knew it exists till now. But looking at specs seems like a very good tracker style blade. I have had very good experience with sleipner steel in the past and have a nice leather sheath as well. So I think is a good tracker.

Nice tracker collection .I wanted a Beck WSK too but couldn’t justify the price . I ended up with a Tops TB tracker and a Red scorpion six predator .

@andrewhondo6 ай бұрын
im not a fan of the tracker in my own opinion the dual blade system is hard to sharpen and the saw on any blade is useless and gets in the way for battoning and would mushroom down on the saw the saw on any knife couldn't cut for crud only use for it would be for notching i have a wayland and its hard to grip and hang on to it chopping there nice to look at but i always use my bolo tramontina when i go into the woods or my hatchet i respect your opinion and great video i just don't like the way they feel
@thecavemanknivesreview.80976 ай бұрын
I appreciate the deep thought and opinions. They sure have people who love them and people who hate them at the same time. I design a blade of which I have a review too. Where I eliminate the dual grind but I keep the saw. Is design to replace a hatchet and to serve well as a draw knife. Check it out if you have a chance and let me know what you think of. Thanks again for the opinion and support.

Very cool ! I have had and read several books by Tom Brown in the past. A brilliant man. I didn’t know that there were so many knives that were inspired by his design until recently. My tracking skills were advanced decades by his teaching. I don’t own a tracker knife besides always wanting to get one. I live in Florida and the most important blade for the subtropical region is of course, the machete. I just couldn’t justify the cost, but now thinking that in addition to, instead of the competition of the blades, perhaps the compliment of them may be a total game changer ? I put a bid at a local pawn shop for a hundred bucks, but was declined. I’m an old man now and disabled without the ability to return to nature so I live and work freely to advance the younger generations as well as older folks knowledge base. Outside of the tropical regions, this knife seems to be a vital component to survival. Not just for camping, or hunting, but for straight up getting everything done that is required to stay alive. I cannot bear the thought of paying full retail for this amazing yet limited tool. A hundred wouldn’t get me even a used one ( barely used, if ever). I no longer bushcraft because of my health issues, but there may be a time where choices are taken away from me ? Many people will depend on me. The state of our country as well as the world is in an insanely vulnerable situation. Learn mandarin, or follow me. I show and instruct most of my friends and family little by little the time may come sooner than any of us hoped. Time to take a crash course on survival, but instead and even more than that, how to live, not just exist in the wilderness. The tracker knife seems to be the perfect tool for almost any wilderness environment, but without the skills that perfect weapon/camp tool is somewhat worthless. A bic lighter is worth it’s weight in gold, but eventually it will fail, and then the understanding of several different means to make fire with natural materials comes into the equation, and your value as a man and leader increases the more you solve complex problems, or diminishes with your failures.

The original tracker knife that Tom brown had made was only sold to his tracker students that attended his tracker classes. It had his school logo and serial number. It came in a kydex sheath with spring clips on it. Good knives.
@IvIidnight Жыл бұрын
Tom Brown didn't have the knife made. A designer, name escapes me right now, wrote Tom asking what he would want out of a knife, and he sent him back a few suggestions. Dude then sent Tom the prototype to test, and Tom not only loved it, but found unattended uses, such as the draw knife. There is an awesome interview with the designer on the YT channel Utah Blade Works.
