I've noticed that everyone seems to be using After Effects for motion tracking and similar effects. Can anyone explain why that is? Doesn't DaVinci Resolve offer similar functionality, or is After Effects simply better suited for this kind of editing?

After Effects is ideal for creating complex animations, compositing, and visual effects. It’s not designed for linear video editing but focuses more on post-production effects. On the other hand, DaVinci Resolve is great for video editing and color grading, with an industry-standard color grading toolset often preferred by cinematographers. Its Fusion tab, however, is like a mini After Effects, where you can create animations, VFX, and more. On my channel, I focus on DaVinci Resolve tutorials, particularly using the Fusion tab. So, if you need advanced motion graphics or visual effects, go with After Effects. But if you’re looking for a powerful all-in-one solution for video editing, color grading, VFX, and audio post-production, DaVinci Resolve is the way to go. Thanks!
