Hi, two tips: 1) On minute 11:40 you must select "Cloudflare Proxy = false" because if you leave it enable the proxy will be enable every time as the ip it's updated and the setting on minute 13:32 will be lost. 2) Change the TTL for "dynamic" A record to "2 minutes" for faster propagation on IP update.

I see where you left it in bridge mode but then when you refreshed it was in bro for the network which is preferred for cloud install Thanks for your videos
@SpaceinvaderOne3 жыл бұрын
No bridge mode is correct. I only switched it to br0.10 (i didnt think people would really spot that !!) as that network runs through a vlan connected to a VPN. That way when i made the video i didnt need to then blank out IP addresses as all the address in the video are VPN ips and not my own WAN ip.

I followed your tutorial on duck dns a while ago and everything worked great but just recently google has tagged all of my subdomains as deceptive sites and I believe it's because duck dns doesn't give you an https ssl. Is there a method of reverse proxy with subdomains like duck dns that does use ssl?

Question!! Does this step suffice for (is good instead of) creating a DDNS inside my router? I don't understand I think what is going on still..
@IBsenoj Жыл бұрын
13:01 I followed these steps, and when it came to me testing the ping I cannot ping the dynamic subdomain, only the main domain. Any suggestions? When attempting to ping it says it cannot find a host. I’ve waited a few hours in case it was needing to update, but still no luck. Domain is hosted through squarespace.

Is it not necessary select duckdns in any fields? I didn't got well why you don't you duckdns domain. So, will I need a paid domain like ".one" that you'have been using in the video?
@andyr.4593 жыл бұрын
Error found in your instructions? If I turn off the proxy entry at the subdomain in cloudflare, the Docker entry "cloudflare proxy: true" automatically turns on the proxy entry at cloudflare again! I believe that by changing the docker entry to "cloudflare proxy: false" this setting is no longer automatically changed at cloudflare . Am I seeing this correctly? Adaptation of the instructions required?
@DeepRacerGamer3 жыл бұрын
Yes. On minute 11:40 you must select "Cloudflare Proxy = false" because if you leave it enable the proxy will be enable every time as the ip it's updated and the setting on minute 13:32 will be lost.

EDIT. Well, I stopd trying to have lucnh and it now works. Don't know why, maybe cloudflare needed some time to update. xD Maybe stupid question. I followed the steps for the cloudflare DDNS but at the end when I ping my dynamic.* the windows terminal tells me "the ping couldn't find the host" and to check the name. If I ping the IP that appears on cloudflares website the ping goes through (with 0ms which I assume is correct for LAN). Did I maje a mistake? Thanks.

Hi, there! I've made the transition from the LE docker container to the swag one and noticed that the swag's template has a field for the duckdns token. Does it mean that I no longer need the duckdns container? Thanks in advance!

@@RobertLentz97 yes, I checked this out and worked. First I disabled the duckdns container, wait for a few weeks and no issue came out so I ended up removing it totally. Although right now I’m doing this through cloudflare and a domain name I own.

Do you know if there is a workaround when ISP that has the same public IP for multiple customers? Needless to say, I'm interested in a solution that doesn't require me to pay for a static IP or buying a domain. I can't reach my network via even the public IP. This makes the DuckDNS like services of no use for users like me as I can't access my network from outside.
@TassosPhotographyStudio3 жыл бұрын
Hyperoptic ISP does that. It is very annoying. Unfortunately there isn’t a solution other than paying for static IP which is IPv4.

Yeah - between Starlink/CGNAT, IPv6, blocked ports -- folks are curious about other options. For me as a Starlink customer I need to scope out options like hoppy, ngrok, and a VPS/tunnel. Hoping Starlink's IPV6 implementation will be showing up soon. Great job on the videos. Just signed up on Patreon and $1.50 as a start is a great value.
