I really like that the maps mostly have weird, unintuitive lines. There's be no point to the record secrecy if every map had an obvious line. Everyone would just be driving the one obvious line, and the fastest player is just the one who does it fastest. But when you have these weird maps with secret records and hidden ghosts, you just have to guess at what the best line is, and you could end up with some completely different lines than what you expected at the end of the week.

as someone who doesn't play the game, I'd rather see the initial playthrough of the maps and then the final improvements and results by the end of the week. I think maybe it would be even cooler if driving the map would be completely blind. Like with this you still know your leaderboard position and stuff. What if they'd just removed your timer and the leaderboard alltogether? I think that would be fun. Then you really wouldn't know if you're on to something or not with your strategy and just have to go by feeling.

I spent awhile and tested that, you get to the last checkpoint faster pretty easy but I always had less speed and ended up slower by the finish. But I'm not great so maybe one of the top guys could make it work

they only let you play 10 maps without paying. I would say play that and if you find that you've put 20+ hours into it with that it might be worthy paying.

online is great especially if you like competition like cup of the days, but if you're a complete noob nadeo tracks are definitely fine for starting out. their tutorial ("practice") maps are great and there are community attempts to make better tutorial campaigns so there's definitely value to online if you're a complete noob, but i'd at least get a bit of a feel for the game to see if you like it before shelling out money. depends what you value most though!

Seems like a gamemode that is very fun to... Observe as an average player. Feels better to be 1 second behind instead of 15k places. Especially when you start hitting a plateau and it takes 30 mins to rise 60positions. 15k to 14.94k... Those are not fun numbers. At least that's what I think before trying Edit: probably cool for tracking progress tho, especially for newcomers!
