For the water, I've found that to go through faster you need to drive a little off-center.

looks to me like the game is dropping frames because its timing is off that's mainly why games do that they run at specific times and if the go too slow or surpass it they drop to catch back up

Andrius Jockus I was thinking it was something to do with his recording software, but I guess it's just a problem with the game. If the numbers in the top left are fps, then it can't be frame drop. I think it's interesting that the load screens run very slow, fps wise.

+Ethan Harris (Daedalus) you have to put display synchronization on 1 interval so it limits to 60 fps. Game is buttery for me now :D

the whole bit about new trackmania games needing to be evolutions and not revolutions is a good bit that unfortunately didn't get followed. Don't get me wrong, the new trackmania game is great, but the whole bit about multiple levels of payment to access more features combined with it only having a modified stadium environment make it unappealing.
