Trackmaster Nia and the elephant, Unboxing review and first run!

Hi Ladies and Gentlemen, today we have Trackmaster Nia from Fisher Price/ Mattel. Nia is a new character from Thomas and friends Big world big adventure and she is from Africa, Nia is loosely based on a KUR ED1/EAR 11 class 2-6-2T but shrunken down to be about the size of Thomas in the show. It is a good looking set including the elephant the hay bale load and their trucks. The elephant is too tall to work on most sets which is disappointing, I had much better results after modifying her to run on the blue tracks too.

I think the best thing to do is don't watch the latest TV series, just enjoy the model toy trains. If you want to enjoy the TV show stick to the stuff prior to Season 13 where is went FULL CGI. There is always the saying 13 is an unlucky number! Way too many playsets and parts don't fit the toys made for the sets. No one is checking what works and fails.

Really? You would take ´Don´t be silly, Billy´ (S10) over ´Love me Tender´ (S20)? I mean just look at the two, the later feels like something that is for fans to enjoy as well as children whilst the former is just a an annoying, shameless pile of rubbish designed purely to sell toys. Its the quality of the episode that matters, not whether its CGI or not. Sure seasons 13 - 16 are stupid, boring and monotonous but that is due to the fact they were still trying to emulate the season 1 - 12 feel and did not take advantage of CGI. I say this to everybody but if you want to understand how great CGI can be watch the opening of ´The Adventure Begins´ and I think I have said enough.

I'm surprised Nia has a proper back coupler. In the past year, Mattel has given trackmaster trains smaller and stiffer back couplers on everything.

Nia ia actually significantly longer than Thomas, but has a lower boiler than him, creating the illusion that she is smaller.

I think once their busted their busted. I’m looking into replacing a lot my TM engine due to wire breakage (Also Plarail is better anyway) I think you can replace the wires but nothing else, really.
