You've got a really good clue to the issue. However, pay attention that a major power surge on the energy line can go directly to the ground e. g. the person holding the cable/touching the computer. This could be fatal. That's why the grounding pin should be properly connected.

@@Roanex The fix mentioned in the video did help a bit but the problem still persisted as I got a very faulty charger. Unfortunately, the best fix for me was to get a new charger, preferably original or from the same brand with the laptop. The main issue here is that the charger or power source is probably faulty, and that it provides too much electricity that it interferes with the hardware's functionalities. I highly suggest getting new charger or fixing the power source bro, change as soon as possible as faulty hardware can really eventually degrade and destroy your laptop. Have a nice day bro

Wow amazing! My issue with lenovo Legion 5i was : Each time I plug in the charger, the trackpad experiences malfunctions, resulting in a trailing cursor and decreased responsiveness. To restore normal functionality, I have to shut down and restart the laptop. cursor used to slide a little when ever moving it to the right side. And it was annoying. I followed this video and tried grounding the charging cable with my hand and it works 😲😲 hats off to you @Anthonee Estell.

I was working on a number of Dell E6410 laptops and had the twichy mouse problem. I seemed to have one machine after another with the problem. Consulted Google/youtube and what do you know, it was the power supply. I was using an cheap aftermarket powersupply. Switching to the Dell OEM powersupply fixed the issue. I have other after market powersupplies but haven't had this problem before. So this is awesome information to know.

I've looked up another video and someone suggested that you keep the adapter a little further away because it's causes Electro Magnetic Interference *according to him* and it did work for me. Just keep the adapter a little bit further from your pc.

some time simple charger change works for many , sometime need to add charger with internal grounding , but most of the time you have to fix according to this video . put your charger on the ground. thats it.

I have the same problem but i had a question.....i have a gaming laptop and it does this exact same thing and when i earth it by touching it becomes completely fine.....so the question was does this affect my voltage coming in thru my laptop cause like if the voltage does not come proper there can be performance issues with it....so like if i do not earth it and just use my regular mouse.....does the voltage coming in to my laptop get affected?

Up to day still helping figure out what the heck was going on with my touchpad, I even opened it and try cleaning soaking any moisture that could have been caught inside as now im next to the sea in a harbour for months. Interesting i saw the battery is just placed below the touchpad so that might increase the inductive energy of the field causing malfunction 🤷

I just almost ordered a new laptop, my Surface pro 4 was totally unusable, areas of touch screen didn't work, touchpad caused erratic movements of the cursor. Found your video, unplugged the charger and everything was fine again. The charger is a replacement no-name Chinese crap, grounding doesn't help. Anyway, I am glad I did not spend 2 k on a new laptop. Thank you :)

@@ajaygoswami5534 hi Ajay, the issue occurred after I purchased replacement power supply unit for my surface and started to use it. Whenever the Surface was plugged in, the issue was there. As soon as I unplugged it, it disappeared. My original PSU has broken cable, it works only sometimes when I arrange the cables into the right position. But when it works, everything is OK.
