I found something that fixed mine guys! Restart ur pc, press f2 to get into the menu Go to the 2nd to last page and click on default settings! This fixed it for me

I had the same problem but after installing an update that I had ignored I while ago my touchpad started working. So I recommend looking for any updates that you may have ignored and try that.

Thanks. I changed the setting from BIOS for touchpad from ADVANCED to BASIC. It worked for me. But after this I wasn't able to scroll through touchpad. Another resolution is to install Serial IO driver which installs I2C HID driver. Now my laptop's touchpad is working as earlier.

i am serious, my touch pad didnt worked for a moment, i had wired mouse but i still wanted to fix my touchpad so i searched for this video, even i after watching all the steps my touchpad dint worked, so angrilly i gave it a little punch and pressed on the touched pad really hard, and it turns out it got fixed( not recomended by me, but it may fix ur touch pad)
