Robin I've read your books. And watched the movie 5 times. And have read everything about Ric. Thank you.

Loved the book, probably mostly her incredible gift of writing and portraying everything so vividly, most of all also her perseverance and throwing herself into this idea that she had and actually pushing through, a pilgrimage that now is harder to do and a lot of us don't have the drive to do it. And the animals and solitude, it just seems like something so primal. Also her independence and relying on herself in a world that has lots of dangerous aspects.

Honestly I think it's wrong that you label yourself as a true "survivor". There are people who have actually gone through stuff that's way more challenging than the experience you had. You put yourself in that situation! They are people out there who should have a voice to change the world for the better good, not just for pure satisfaction. You literally only took the trip to prove that women are strong when you could have just ignored what people said. You still had a voice back then, you still had rights! There are children and indigenous people who still don't heard. Stop promoting a story that no one cares about and won't help anyone! (After that rant I feel a lot better:))

Sophia Warden...I agree. She did it for fame & money PLUS she had HELP making the trek. I don't see what all the hype is about. She really hasn't DONE anything to earn all the hoopla. The photographer was the one who actually DID something with his photos.

@@forreal245 she didnt do it for fame and money, she took the trip on 4 camels and before the natgeo crew arrived she was very reluctant to bring anybody, and she didnt want to have to take photos, she needed funding for her trip and that is why she took the natgeo money, becuase she didn't want to have to continue to do jobs for another year before she had the funding to take the trip.
